Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

Covering the Capital: Shaping America's Future

Mar 31, 2026

Faith & Liberty is privileged to host the ongoing “Why Israel Lunch and Learn Series.” The first of five discussions, with best-selling author and All Israel News Editor-in-Chief Joel Rosenberg, led to stimulating discussion on the topic “Why Israel Matters to America,” as did the second gathering last week, with Dr. Susan Michael, on “Why Israel Matters to Christians.” Dr. Michael is USA president of International Christian Embassy Jerusalem and director of American Christian Leaders for Israel.

The Why Israel Lunch and Learn Series will host three more exceptional speakers in the months to come, and we are thankful these luncheon events have been so well received by Capitol Hill staffers and interns, who also attend Bible studies at the Ministry Center. Please keep this series in prayer as it is critical, in this time of increasing misinformation and rising antisemitism, that we understand the U.S.-Israel relationship and can address the pressing questions surrounding the Jewish state and its place in the world today.

Would you show your support for the many ways Faith & Liberty actively supports from Capitol Hill all that God is doing in our nation? We appreciate your faithful prayers and financial gifts that help Faith & Liberty thrive as we serve as your missionaries in our nation's capital.

We live in a volatile world, but the gospel of Jesus Christ brings hope! We particularly celebrate the hope of the resurrection during this Easter week. Pray with us that an increasing number of Americans — including our leaders — will experience the hope that Christ brings to each of us personally and to our nation as we seek the blessing that comes from heaven above.

On Palm Sunday, President Trump shared on social media a letter that Franklin Graham sent to him last year declaring Jesus as the only way to heaven. At Faith & Liberty, we invite you to join us in prayer for our president and for all of our leaders, that they would know Christ and the power of His resurrection. Blessings to you all this Resurrection Sunday!

While many of you form the backbone of Faith & Liberty because of your faithful prayers and financial support, others may wish to give today for the first time or give a gift beyond your regular donations. Thank you for considering Faith & Liberty and our vital ministry in our nation’s capital. Please also ask the Lord if He would have you become one of our vitally important monthly contributors. Sign up for monthly giving on our website using the DONATE button below and select the option, “I would like to make this a recurring donation.” If you prefer to call, please ask for Patty Bills at the Faith & Liberty office at 202-737-1776, and she will gladly assist you. You truly are an important part of our ministry, and we thank you!

MINISTRY RECAP
  • We pray you are being inspired by our “Countdown to the Resurrection” email devotionals written by our senior pastor, Rev. Greg Cox. We trust they are a blessing in this important season!
  • We host an America 250 intercessory prayer time every Saturday at our Ministry Center. Are you interested in praying for our nation? If so, we invite you to join us. Please contact Patty Bills at 202-737-1776 for more information.
  • Numerous Bible studies meet weekly at the Ministry Center. This week, they are wrapping up their studies ahead of the Easter break.

  • The House Values Action Team welcomed former Senator Rick Santorum for a conversation on family policy last Wednesday. Lindsey Cruz represented Faith & Liberty and was able to meet Sen. Santorum and his wife, Karen.

  • Faith & Liberty joined conservative leaders at a briefing on Kids, Families, and AI, engaging in the conversation around how America can lead the world in AI in a way that also protects children and strengthens families. We were pleased to be in this private meeting as an invited voice of faith.

  • As mentioned above, Dr. Susan Michael, USA president of International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) and director of American Christian Leaders for Israel, gave a wonderful presentation to around 30 guests at the “Why Israel Lunch and Learn Series” at the Ministry Center. Faith & Liberty is co-hosting this series of talks with guest speakers and fellowship luncheons.

  • Faith & Liberty participated in Prayer & Pastries on Capitol Hill, a time of fellowship and prayer with other local ministries for our country and those who work on Capitol Hill making important decisions for Americans.

  • We joined the White House Faith Office conference call. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and Senior Advisor and Pastor Paula White-Cain gave updates on policies they are working on with the Trump administration.

COMING SOON
  • We are working on various Bible reading events that are all coming up soon here in our nation’s capital. We are hosting our own Annual Congressional Bible Reading on April 15. It’s a busy time for members of Congress, but we are inviting several of them to read the Scriptures as part of this event.
  • A national Bible reading will soon take place at the Museum of the Bible highlighting America’s 250th year. Faith & Liberty's senior pastor, Rev. Greg Cox, is among participants from all 50 states who have been called upon to read during the America Reads the Bible event to be held April 19-25.
  • We also partner with Seedline International for the U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon — which has hundreds of readers and lasts for 90 hours! This will be held April 25-29.
  • We appreciate prayer for the upcoming Rooftop Prayer event here in Washington. We are thankful our plans are now set, so we are in the final stretch of preparation!
  • Faith & Liberty is participating in prayer webinars in support of the White House America Prays Initiative. These times are scheduled monthly for the purpose of praying for our country, government, and policy makers and the many decisions our leaders must make on behalf of the American people.
  • Our ministry center manager, Lindsey Cruz, will be visiting our Interfaith Office for Interns, where interns and staffers gather information on local Bible studies and faith-based events and activities.
  • Representatives from the Association of Christian Schools International will be at the Ministry Center this week for two days of strategic planning and prayer. We are pleased to be able to host ACSI and stand in support of Christian education.
