Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Dec 16, 2025
Christians often claim the powerful promise of Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
As believers who confess Christ as our Savior and Lord, we know that we are those who are “called according to His purpose.” And we can only be among “those who love God” because He first set His love on us, giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
This plan was in the mind of God long before any of us were born. And it was in the heart of His Son to leave heaven above and come to earth beneath to rescue us from our sinful ways. That is what we celebrated last week during our Live Nativity gospel presentation in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.
In the Christmas story, an angel sent from God makes the announcement of the Messiah's birth. This wasn’t just for a few shepherds in the countryside, but for “all.”
“And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people’” (Luke 2:13).
Then, a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the announcing angel.
Read Luke 2:14 in a few different translations, noting the final phrase:
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests!”
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to people He favors!”
In the Christmas story, we see, too, that all things work together for good for “those with whom he is pleased,” those “on whom His favor rests,” and on the “people He favors.”
If you are not among the people of God on whom He has set His favor, don’t you want to be? Contact Faith & Liberty and learn more about this beautiful life He gives His children!
But if you have already confessed Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you have His favor! Isn’t the Christmas message amazing? Through our Live Nativity, we were so thankful to be able to share the message of the Messiah who willingly came to earth. He gave His all for us, so we join the heavenly host in glorious praise!

If you missed this year's Live Nativity presentation, we pray you will be blessed as you watch it and meditate on the true meaning of the season. See the Live Nativity livestream link on Faith & Liberty's Facebook page.

We also value your prayers as we prepare for our next major event, our Preborn Memorial, to be held outside the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22. Stay tuned for more details and consider joining us as we celebrate life!
