Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

Covering the Capital: Honoring Immanuel, "God With Us"

Dec 9, 2025

Faith & Liberty is involved in many activities this month — and likely you are too! Along with celebrations for Christmas, we have been invited to events honoring those who work or serve on Capitol Hill. It’s only fitting now that we add our thanks to the many volunteers who helped us with last Thursday’s Live Nativity.

Amazingly, we had 52 volunteers, a record! That includes more children than we’ve ever had participate, some people behind the scenes, some handling the animals, and others who read, sang, or danced as part of our live presentation in front of the Supreme Court. There, we shared from the Gospel of Luke and saw part of the story acted out by our beautifully costumed volunteers, including the three kings presenting gifts to the baby Jesus.

Would you show your support today for all that the ministry of Faith & Liberty has done and continues to do every day, week, month, and year to spread the love of Christ?

“Jesus can change your life if you ask Him, and He alone can be the peace that you’ve never known.” viewers of this wonderful spectacle were told.

We’ve been holding a Nativity presentation on Capitol Hill for 22 years now, but it has grown significantly through the years. It takes months to plan but makes a powerful impact on Capitol Hill. We are thankful that we can point to and proclaim the birth of Jesus Christ right in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. What a privilege and an honor!

Yet, our Lord came to Earth in such a humble way, as Matthew 1:23 reminds us: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means ‘God with us’).” We rejoice at Christmas but remind ourselves that we can celebrate on every other day, too, because God is truly with us!

If you missed this year's presentation, please take a little time to watch it and meditate on the true meaning of the season. See the livestream link on Faith & Liberty's Facebook page. For those who prayed, for those who volunteered, and for those who gave financially, we give thanks!
