Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Sep 30, 2025
With our presence on Capitol Hill, the Faith & Liberty team is continually reminded of the role of the three branches of government, including the judicial branch. Surely the U.S. Supreme Court, as the highest court in the land, and its nine Justices need the prayers of believers across America.
When a case is accepted at the High Court, we know the decision from the bench will have far-reaching implications. That is certainly true this week with Chiles v. Salazar, a free speech case. The case addresses whether a licensed counselor can provide Christian change counseling (talk therapy) to a minor who is confused about their sexuality.
As you know, we cannot stand up for free speech in this country, connect with members of Congress — or engage in any other ministry activity — without your support! Please prayerfully consider giving to Faith & Liberty for the first time or supporting our ministry with a monthly recurring gift to help us fulfill our unique and vital mission.
Because prayer for the Court is critical, Faith & Liberty will co-host a Supreme Court prayer training on Sunday, October 5. We will join together in prayer and then help trainees understand how to pray in the Supreme Court setting in light of the rules of the Court, then we will go to the Court to pray for a good decision in Chiles v. Salazar, which will be heard on Tuesday, October 7.
Our senior vice president, Peggy Nienaber, has also been invited to speak at the National Consecration of the Court, an annual solemn assembly hosted by the Judicial Action Group Foundation. This will be a dedicated time of praying for and consecrating the U.S. Supreme Court to God’s purposes.
Please pray with us for the Supreme Court, for the Justices and their staff, and for wise decisions on Chiles and other critical cases on the docket this term.
Thank you for standing with us and praying God’s will be done!

COMING SOON
As noted above, Peggy will be speaking at the National Consecration of the Court, an annual solemn assembly hosted by the Judicial Action Group Foundation. Through worship, Scripture, prophetic prayer, and youth-led moments of intercession, we will consecrate the U.S. Supreme Court to God’s purposes.
Faith & Liberty will co-host Supreme Court prayer training on Sunday, October 5. We will engage in prayer and help trainees understand how to pray in the Supreme Court setting and in light of the rules of the High Court, then go to the Court to pray.
Our team is planning the She Leads America Summit for October 8-11. We will be sponsoring a Congressional Prayer Breakfast for congressional women and will host a Defending the Dignity of Women panel with members of Congress and women who have had challenges in their lives. The group will be praying with women members of Congress and holding briefings at the White House. Also, Rev. Greg Cox will meet and share with the Mordecai Men who are husbands of the women of the She Leads America movement.
In mid-October, Faith & Liberty will host another 24-hour Prayer Night. We’ll be praying for our country, the congressional staffers working on Capitol Hill, and the nations.
Peggy Nienaber and Lindsey Cruz look forward to attending the NHCLC Leadership Summit on October 14 here in Washington. The theme of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference is “What is of God, always wins.”
