Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jun 10, 2025
Faith & Liberty attended the annual commemoration of Jerusalem Day on Capitol Hill.
Jerusalem Day is an Israeli national holiday, celebrated May 25-26, 2025, in Israel, commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem and the establishment of Israeli control over the Old City in 1967. It celebrates Israel’s victory in the Six-Day War.
We were pleased to meet with several members of Congress along with Jewish and Christian leaders to express support for the nation of Israel.
We believe the blessing of the Lord is on those who support the Jewish people, according to Genesis 12:3.
“I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
We are thankful for connections with many leaders who also support Israel. It’s because of you that we are able to be here. Your ongoing prayers and financial support enable Faith & Liberty to be on Capitol Hill where critical decisions are made on behalf of the citizens of this nation in which we are privileged to live. Now, more than ever, we need you to continue to stand with us through your prayers and generosity. If you haven’t given to Faith & Liberty before, please consider donating now as we cannot do this vitally important work without faithful friends like you! Thank you!
You form the backbone of Faith & Liberty because of your prayers and financial support. Please also pray about becoming one of our vitally important monthly contributors. Sign up for monthly giving on our website using the DONATE button below and select the option, “I would like to make this a recurring donation.” If you prefer to call, please ask for Patty Bills at the Faith & Liberty office at 202-737-1776, and she will gladly assist you. You truly are an important part of our ministry, and we thank you!

We continue to meet with congressional interns on Capitol Hill, welcoming them to Washington, D.C., praying with them, and assisting them with many needs.
Peggy will participate in the Hill Ministries luncheon. This is a time to pray for other ministries serving on Capitol Hill and to share our upcoming events.
It’s that time of year again for the Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party! Tomorrow afternoon, we’ll be enjoying lots of ice cream along with fellowship with many congressional staffers and members of Congress on the National Mall just outside the U.S. Capitol Building. This event started in 1983, and you can see why it’s so popular!
Peggy has a meeting scheduled to begin planning for the She Leads America Summit to be held in October.
On Saturday, America celebrates Flag Day and the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary. It is also President Trump’s birthday. In addition, there will be a military parade in the nation’s capital on Saturday. Prayers are appreciated for security for this patriotic event. Please also remember that protests in Los Angeles have turned violent, and hundreds of “No Kings” protests are planned for this Saturday across the country. America needs prayer in the wake of these protests, and we know you will join Faith & Liberty as we pray for both peace and revival!
