Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jun 6, 2025
Children ages 7–9 are expected to arrive at Camp IdRaHaJe, which stands for “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” on June 8.
But unless this Christian camp puts boys in girls’ bunkhouses, bathrooms, and showers, the State of Colorado will not allow it to open at all. This is the insanity of the LGBTQ agenda. It is the tip of the spear regarding religious freedom.
Faith & Liberty is a stalwart supporter of religious freedom from Capitol Hill. Thank you for your help in allowing us to be present in the heart of our nation’s capital. A special Challenge Grant will DOUBLE the impact of your donation to Faith & Liberty today.
Summer camp has long been a treasured activity for many children. Since 1948, Camp IdRaHaJe has hosted children aged 6 to 17 for weeklong adventures in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
In any given summer, Camp IdRaHaJe hosts between 2,500 and 3,000 children. But they won’t host ANY this year, if the State of Colorado has its way.
Last year, the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, which licenses summer camps, adopted new “gender equality” rules. Those rules force all summer camps, including religious camps, to allow gender-confused children to use the bathrooms, showers, and bedrooms of their choice. In other words, camps MUST allow boys to sleep in girls’ bedrooms or girls to use the boys’ showers — or the camps will not be allowed to operate.
Camp IdRaHaJe is a Bible-believing, active teaching children’s ministry whose doctrinal statement clearly declares that “God has immutably created each person as either male or female in His image” and that “the differentiation of the sexes, male and female, is part of the divine image in the human race.”
Camp IdRaHaJe requested a religious exemption to the State of Colorado’s new gender-bending rules but was flatly denied. The case is now pending before the courts.
Members of the LGBTQ cult, who are unable to reproduce, must recruit to build their numbers, so they are targeting kids for indoctrination and trying to shut down any institution — especially any Christian ministry — that gets in their way.
Meanwhile, in Congress, the Equality Act is back, and it’s coming for your church.
The Equality Act of 2025 seeks to make the LGBTQ a protected class while revoking religious freedom rights for any who disagree with the LGBTQ agenda.
If passed, this measure specifically revokes the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and plainly declares that religious freedom is not a defense. This means that all Christian institutions will be forced to comply with LGBTQ ideals — including forcing men into women’s showers and forbidding the preaching about God’s design for human sexuality.
If passed, you, your pastor, and even your Christian school will be forced to accept, adopt, and promote homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism, and “queer,” which encompasses more than 550 sexual deviancies, including pedophilia and bestiality.
This bill is sick and is an unvarnished attempt to erase Americans’ First Amendment right to religious freedom.
WE MUST STOP THIS ATROCIOUS BILL NOW!
Fax Congress and demand members VOTE NO on HR 15 & S 1503 – the Equality Act of 2025.
Thank you for standing with Faith & Liberty on mission in our nation’s capital. Much of what we do revolves around young people, as we engage and serve many interns and congressional staffers and as we stand for a biblical worldview impacting the thousands of young people who are America’s future!
