While many Americans laud June as “Pride Month,” Faith & Liberty celebrates June as “LIFE Month.”

Why June? As you’ll recall, June 24, 2022, was a glorious day here on Capitol Hill, the day when the United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of life in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. It was the decision we longed for since the Roe v. Wade ruling on January 22, 1973. Dobbs was a battle won, but the war continues.

The Dobbs decision roused the thief that “comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10). At times, our enemy is subtle and stealthy, but at other times, brash and belligerent. We’ve seen both on Capitol Hill, and we are not unaware of his schemes! On Dobbs decision day, we were there! In fact, for years Faith & Liberty has been a trusted mainstay in public and private prayer and in standing for Life on Capitol Hill! We are at the ready, prayed up, and aware of the evil one seeking to devour future generations of Americans.

During Life Month, we will host, engage, and participate in pro-life events and meetings to defend and protect America’s precious unborn. Faith & Liberty has been at the forefront of the Life movement, from prayer every Sunday prior to the overturn of the Dobbs decision to laying 3,000 flowers every year on the Roe anniversary to remember those lost to abortion. We hosted briefings during She Leads America summits, participated in March for Life events to remember those lost to abortion, and have been a prayerful presence during congressional committee write-ups and votes on life.

• Faith & Liberty staff continues to have separate individual meetings with new congressional interns who will serve in various offices on the Hill this summer.
