Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Feb 10, 2025
Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” This psalm reveals God’s heart for Israel and His call to the nations. Our desire is for America to also be a “nation whose God is the Lord.”
This past week, President Trump established a White House Faith Office. We praise the Lord that faith is being exalted in the White House. Pray with us that the name of Jesus would be lifted high through this new office. The name of Jesus is the name above all names!
Other significant events took place in our nation’s capital this past week, including the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance, as Christians and government leaders prayed for America and asked God to forgive our sins as a nation. Oh, how we need this! May we continue in this humble posture before the Lord.
Please see our requests below and thank you for joining your prayers with ours in unity not only for Faith & Liberty but also for all who are exalting the name of Jesus on Capitol Hill.
You form the backbone of Faith & Liberty because of your prayers and financial support. Please also pray about becoming one of our vitally important monthly contributors. Sign up for monthly giving on our website using the DONATE button below and select the option, “I would like to make this a recurring donation.” If you prefer to call, please ask for Patty Bills at the Faith & Liberty office at 202-737-1776, and she will gladly assist you. You truly are an important part of our ministry, and we thank you!

The Faith & Liberty staff members were in the prayer room at the Washington Hilton during the National Prayer Breakfast.
Peggy Nienaber and Patty Bills, our director of strategic partnerships, had a conference call meeting with the staff of the White House Office of Public Liaison for President Trump. On the call, White House Public Liaison staff were introduced, and we discussed plans for how we can all work together the next four years to support the President's agenda.
Peggy met with Rev. Dennis Pethers, founder of the Rooftop Encounter Ministries, visiting from the U.K.
Peggy will participate in a meet-and-greet with new members of Congress in the coming weeks.
We are planning for the U.S. Capitol Police Officer of the Year Recognition in March.
We are also planning for the U.S. House Chaplain’s Ministry Fair in March.
We are sending invitations and setting up reservations for our Congressional Bible Reading in April.
Praise the Lord for the good attendance to our Bible studies. We are thankful that many on Capitol Hill prioritize the study of God’s Word in their lives!
Praise the Lord we have secured a location for this year’s Rooftop prayer!
Thank the Lord for the connections on Capitol Hill to assist us with our priorities and planning for the next year and beyond. God makes a way!
