Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

Feb 3, 2025

Along with Inauguration Day activities, our focus at Faith & Liberty last month was on the value of unborn life. We had a powerful week of life events — there is nothing more important than LIFE!

This week, news reports of devastating back-to-back plane crashes, especially one right here in the nation’s capital, have caused many to reflect on the end of life.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport — which members of Congress often use — was the site of a jet and an Army Black Hawk helicopter collision that took 67 lives, everyone on board, on Thursday night, Jan. 30.

Then not so far away, in Philadelphia, the very next night, Jan. 31, another crash — this one of an air ambulance with a sick child on board — took seven lives, including one in a car on the ground. Twenty-two were injured.

Life is short! Every one of us must be sure we are right with God so we are ready if it is our time to go. Just as these crashes show, death can come suddenly and without warning.

Our presence on Capitol Hill allows us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with many who work here, including members of Congress. Some of them may be thinking, What if I were on that plane out of Reagan Airport?

We must be ready to offer the life-giving gospel to all who work on Capitol Hill. Pray that we have daily opportunities to be witnesses for Christ and boldly share the Good News.

God has set Faith & Liberty in place as a unique ministry in our nation’s capital. That is because of your support in every way, and we thank you!
