With social media, television, and movies, our society is highly visual. That's one reason why two of our year’s major events communicate so well — and why we put so much time and energy into them!

As you know, we’ve just concluded our Live Nativity. We’ve presented the Live Nativity year after year for over two decades now, and the story of Jesus’ birth still speaks in our nation’s capital! The highly visual nature of this event draws people out of their day-to-day busyness to view its stunning entourage coming down the street to the front of the U.S. Supreme Court! We are quickly moving through the Christmas season, and as we anticipate January and all the people who will be visiting the capital for the presidential inauguration, we pray that our pro-life events, held around the same time, also will call attention to the issue of life. Our life-focused event with the most visual impact will be Prayers & Remembrance — Victims of Roe, where we remember preborn lives lost and their families with prayer and the laying of 3,000 flowers in front of the Supreme Court.

• Women of Ministry in Washington, D.C., met for an end-of-year reflection dinner last Monday evening, and we enjoyed fellowship with them!

• Lindsey Cruz attended Speaker Mike Johnson’s end-of-year reception in the Speaker’s Dining Room this past week. Speaker Johnson thanked the groups for their hard work this past year.

• On Jan. 20, the morning of the presidential inauguration, our team will be helping two other ministries hand out 50,000 Bibles for those attending the ceremony. 

• We will also host a meet-and-greet for Faith & Liberty supporters coming for the inauguration. Let us know if you will be in Washington for the festivities around the presidential inauguration and can stop by the Ministry Center. • Peggy Nienaber will be meeting with new members of Congress after they have been sworn into office. This will give us time to pray with them and invite their staffers to our Bible studies and events held at the Ministry Center.

• During inauguration week, we have our pro-life events (as we usually do in January). Stay tuned for more on those activities, including our LIFE Reception and Prayers & Remembrance — Victims of Roe as we remember the preborn with prayer and 3,000 flowers laid in front of the Supreme Court.
