Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

Such Faith!

Dec 2, 2024

In just THREE days, Washington, D.C., will once again be visited by the Holy Family — along with a camel, sheep, a donkey, Wise Men, shepherds, and townspeople as our LIVE NATIVITY comes to Capitol Hill! It is an extraordinary sight to behold.

YOU can be a part of this critical witness by helping fund the Faith & Liberty Live Nativity. Just select here to help with your most generous donation possible!

This unique presentation serves as a visual reminder to our nation’s public policy makers that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!

Though both Matthew and Luke reveal that Jesus was born of royal lineage, His actual birth could not have been less king-like. After all, who were His parents? Emperors? Heads of State? Great leaders? NO!

Then who were they? Just two specks among the teeming masses of humanity! It was through Joseph, a simple Jewish carpenter, and Mary, also from a small village in a tiny region of the Middle East occupied by the Romans, that the King of Kings would come into the world.

And how is it that Mary, this unknown maiden from Nazareth, became the bearer of God Incarnate? What did she do to deserve such favor?

Remember the words found in the Gospel according to Luke: “The angel (Gabriel) went to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.’” The Latin Vulgate translates “highly favored” as “full of grace.” Mary, like Noah centuries before, found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

And what was Mary’s response to this heavenly herald who informed her that she, though not yet married, would be found pregnant — and likely disgraced within the community, rejected by her family, and possibly killed by her embarrassed husband-to-be?

Luke 1:38: “Be it unto me according to thy word.”

Such incredible faith — to trust God in what so many would consider a dire situation. Right now, many in our nation are facing dire circumstances. The effects of rising inflation, broken families, political divisions, open borders, and cancel culture plague millions of Americans across the nation. Yet, despite an uncertain future, there will always be those who choose to remain faithful and trust God through it all.

But isn’t that always how it works? Hebrews 11 gives us a Hall of Fame for such people of faith. Although mostly ordinary, simple people, the one thing they have in common is that they trusted God.

For so many on Capitol Hill who want to please their constituents, the concept of faith is difficult. How challenging it is to, by faith, stand on the principles of God’s Word instead of looking to see which way the political winds are blowing. But that’s what America needs right now: people of integrity and moral character who will uphold the biblical principles upon which this nation was founded.

And that’s exactly the message of the Live Nativity. It is a call to obey God — just like Joseph and Mary — and to trust Him in difficult seasons.

With just three days left, will you help us bring this powerful witness of the gospel to Capitol Hill? By sending your best possible gift, you can ensure this unique ministry continues on Capitol Hill.

Thank you for standing with us with your prayers and your generous contributions. And thank you for bringing CHRISTmas to Capitol Hill!
