It’s getting closer! Our Live Nativity is right around the corner and will be here before we know it! Today Patty Bills will be picking up the newly created and elaborate costumes that Joseph and Mary, the three kings, and others will be wearing as we present the glorious message of our Savior’s incarnation — the Son of God emptying Himself and choosing to identify with us in our humanity. 

Philippians 2:6-8 reveals the amazing way this transpired:

“Who, being in very nature a God,

did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

rather, he made himself nothing

by taking the very nature of a servant,

being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a man,

he humbled himself

by becoming obedient to death—

even death on a cross!”

The date is Thursday, Dec. 5, when we walk with the live animals on Capitol Hill ending at the U.S. Supreme Court, where there will be a brief presentation of the gospel.

• We had a wonderful visit from our Liberty Counsel friends last week!

• We are planning a Friendsgiving gathering at the Ministry Center for those who work on Capitol Hill who cannot go home to family and friends for the holiday.

• During the morning of the presidential inauguration on Jan. 20, we will be handing out Bibles for those attending the ceremony.

• We will also host a meet-and-greet for those coming for the inauguration. Let us know if you will be in the capital and can come to the Ministry Center or assist with the Bible distribution. Please call Patty Bills at 202-737-1776 or email her at [email protected].

• Peggy Nienaber and the Faith & Liberty team will be meeting with new members of Congress after they have been sworn into office. This will give us time to pray with them and invite their staffers to our Bible studies.

• During the president-elect's inauguration week, we also have our upcoming pro-life events (as we usually do in January). Stay tuned for more on those events, including a pro-life reception at our Ministry Center for around 100 people.
