As we stand for the lives of the unborn, we look forward to a very special event this week as we co-host a screening of the Unthinkable documentary. Unthinkable — a feature-length documentary that exposes the dirtiest secrets of the abortion industry — was created by Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director, pro-life activist, and the subject of the 2019 film Unplanned.

Members of Congress and congressional staffers have been invited to the screening on September 25 in the U.S. Capitol. Actors and people behind the film will participate in a panel discussion after the showing.

This month at our Ministry Center, Faith & Liberty and Liberty Counsel Action also will team up to co-host a screening of Unthinkable for leaders on Capitol Hill.

This is a wonderful opportunity to effectively shine the light of truth on an industry that has unapologetically promoted the death of helpless children and the demise of the family. Please support us prayerfully and financially as we actively engage our leaders in the cause of life. Ask God to reveal to them the depth of hatred and corruption driving this industry. Pray that the hearts and minds of government leaders will be changed after seeing this film.

• Faith & Liberty hosted a college football afternoon for interns and staffers at the Ministry Center last Saturday. We had a great time to fellowship while eating hot dogs and watching college football. A competitive game of corn hole stirred up even more fun!

• Ministry Manager Lindsey Cruz represented Faith & Liberty at the Hill Ministries Luncheon, a gathering of support and fellowship for all ministries working on Capitol Hill.

• Pop-up Worship Night at the Ministry Center is a great way to praise and worship our Lord! The interns who attend this special time of prayer along with praises in song are blessed indeed!

• Peggy Nienaber and Jonathan Alexandre, vice president of governmental affairs of Liberty Counsel, have been invited to pray on separate individual days during the 40 Days USA, a call to prayer for our nation featuring 40 Christian leaders. We are thankful for this opportunity.

• Faith & Liberty will be hosting the She Leads America Women’s Reception this week at our Ministry Center to meet with women leaders for fellowship and prayer. The Faith & Liberty staff will share how we are serving on Capitol Hill. At an evening gala, Peggy will present an award to a Christian woman of distinction. Peggy will have the honor of presenting the award to Dana Ritter, Washington, D.C., bureau chief for CBN News (the Christian Broadcasting Network).

• Members of Congress have also been invited to the Women’s Congressional Prayer Breakfast recognizing five women members for their standing for pro-life, pro-family, and other important issues. Leaders from She Leads America will assist with the event, along with our Faith & Liberty team. Congresswoman Cathy McNorris Rodgers will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for her work on Capitol Hill.

• Faith & Liberty will participate in the Dignity of Women Sports Lunch on Capitol Hill. Olympians Dr. Madeline Manning Mims and Chandra Cheeseborough will share their thoughts on fairness in women's sports along with advocate and NCAA volleyball player Macy Petty and other speakers.

• As mentioned above, Faith & Liberty will co-host a screening of the Unthinkable documentary, an Abby Johnson film exposing the dirtiest secrets of the abortion industry. Members of Congress and congressional staffers have been invited to the screening on September 25 in the U.S. Capitol. Brandi Swindell, founder and CEO of Stanton Healthcare will lead the panel of women.

• In addition, Faith & Liberty and Liberty Counsel Action will co-host a screening of Unthinkable at the Ministry Center this month for leaders on Capitol Hill.

• In September, Faith & Liberty will host the #Let Them Choose conference at the Ministry Center. The Alliance for Israel Advocacy has asked members of Congress to address attendees about a plan for Gaza.

• Planning has begun for the Officer Recognition Award ceremony to be held in October where Faith & Liberty will recognize those who serve in law enforcement on Capitol Hill.

• Faith & Liberty plans to participate in Lou Engle’s gathering of 1 million women on the National Mall on Oct. 12, which coincides with the Jewish Day of Atonement. This Esther Call on the Mall will be a time of fasting and prayer for our nation.
