This last week has certainly been trying for our nation. I can’t imagine how it feels for President Trump and his family, as well as for the families who had loved ones killed or injured at the Pennsylvania rally last Saturday. At Faith & Liberty, we place a great emphasis on prayer because we know who our Heavenly Father is and how much He cares for us and for all that concerns us, including this great country of ours!

Will you join us and intercede for all of the prayer points we’ve listed below? Let us agree together that America would continue as a shining beacon of light for the world. If our nation is one where religious freedom, faith, and family can flourish, God will surely bless us so we can bless others.

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Tim. 2:1-2).

• We spent time praying with congressional staffers who remained in Washington, D.C., while others attended the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

• Peggy Nienaber met with the Aglow men and women who spent time praying for our ministry events and upcoming Bible studies.

• Peggy participated in a prayer call with leaders to pray after the attempted assassination of former President Trump.

• Peggy Nienaber and Patty Bills met to work out details for our August Prayer Retreat.

• The last Bible study for the summer for interns will be held Thursday night. We’ll be giving them a send-off back to their hometowns.

• Faith & Liberty will be hosting the #Let Them Choose conference at the Ministry Center at the end of July. The Alliance for Israel Advocacy has asked members of Congress to address attendees about a plan for Gaza.

• Prayer Retreat: Our Faith & Liberty team takes an annual private prayer retreat, which will be the first week of August, so just a couple of weeks from now! We'll look to the Lord to guide and strengthen us for this strategic work for His glory and honor. • We will continue our night of prayer each month until the November election.

• Summertime FUN! We will host a summer cookout with hot dogs and hamburgers this week. We’ll also focus on the Word. It will be a time to let congressional staffers know about our Bible studies and events.

• Patty Bills continues to work with volunteers in preparing and sewing our new Live Nativity costumes for this December.
