When Grace told her parents she wanted to be a “boy,” they sent her to a “gender specialist.” There, Grace — who is now 23 — said “I wish there had been more open conversations.” Instead, she heard, “there is one cure and one thing to do if this is your problem, and this will help you.”
But Grace and her parents were repeatedly told that if she didn’t “transition,” she would be driven to commit suicide.
Grace was not comfortable with her body. Puberty made that even worse. So did bullying and depression. So, Grace fully “transitioned,” which means she took hormone drugs and had a double mastectomy before college. She presented as a “man.” But she had a dark secret that we’ll share below.
“What should be a medical and psychological issue has been morphed into a political one,” Grace says. “It’s a mess,” laments Grace, who is now learning to embrace her biological reality.
The U.S. Supreme Court just took up two cases regarding state laws protecting minors from harmful experimental drugs and mutilating surgeries.
Because of this case, this means the pressure on Congress to pass the “Equality Act” will significantly increase. Only one vote is needed in the U.S. Senate to change the filibuster and then pass HR 15. We need YOUR HELP to fight HR 15 with your faxes to Congress to stop kids from being pushed onto a one-way street targeting children who are gender confused and those with unwanted attractions and behaviors. Act now. — Your Faith & Liberty team
“At no point” during Grace’s medical or surgical intervention “did anyone ask her about the reasons behind her gender dysphoria or her depression. ... And at no point was she asked about any previous trauma, and so neither the therapists nor the doctors ever learned that she’d been sexually abused as a child,” reports the New York Times (emphasis added).
That trauma, said Grace, led her to feel “so detached from my body, and the way it was developing felt hostile to me.” Grace then found groups online that promoted these harmful procedures, which led her to think she was in the wrong body.
Without proper counsel, Grace wrongly believed surgery was her only option.
Children experiencing gender confusion have many options. In fact, within four years, 30 percent of people who start hormone drugs stop taking them. And 80 to 90-plus percent of children who struggle with gender confusion resolve it in harmony with their biological gender by puberty.
Most confused children resolve on their own without any counseling. Yet LGBTQ radicals want to pump drugs and push mutilating surgeries onto children that will result in permanent harm! Infertility, pain, discomfort, incisions that do not heal, depression, regret, worsening metal health, suicide, and more are the norm for these children.
+ + This leads to death ...
Sam* was a physically healthy 18-year-old man before gender confusion drove him to surgery. Lacking sufficient external skin tissue to surgically create female body parts, his doctors removed part of his colon. Sam developed necrotizing fasciitis, a skin-rotting disease, and E. coli, likely from his own colon. Even with large doses of intravenous antibiotics and “repeated surgical debridement,” which is a painful scraping of the skin to remove the dead tissue, this young man experienced multiple organ failures that, sadly, led to his death.
If Sam had waited a little longer, there is a high chance that confusion with his biological gender would have resolved.
However, if LGBTQ radicals get their way, they will pass the Equality Act to pressure people like Sam and Grace into thinking that this lie is the only option. If this becomes law, it will likely moot the case before the U.S. Supreme Court. And for counselors, doctors, nurses, and others — they will be forced to participate in this lie.
HR 15 will push people into pain and dysfunction. Now that the Court has taken up the issue, the LGBTQ lobby is pressuring Congress to pass HR 15.
Every Democrat in the U.S. House has signed on to support HR 15. There are some Republicans who could side with them to pass the bill. And if only one vote in the Senate of the four swing votes were to support HR 15, the bill will pass, and the consequences will be catastrophic.
