Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jun 11, 2024
Throughout the Bible, there are stories of kings who built the walls of their fortresses and societies on the blood of coerced labor. Today, America is building the foundations of our society on the blood of dead children.
Studies show that more than 2/3 of women who seek an abortion are coerced into killing their child by her parents or the baby’s father.
We simply cannot continue to exist like this. If we do not turn the tide, God’s vengeance WILL come upon our nation, just as He came against the evil kings of old. — Your Faith & Liberty team
Julia was just 16 years old when she moved in with a man eight years her senior. Her boyfriend threw her birth control pills off the balcony one night in a supposed testament to his love and commitment.
But when Julia became pregnant, the father changed his tune and became irate. He told her if she had the baby, he would kick her to the curb. Julia believed she had nowhere else to turn. She had dropped out of high school, didn’t have a job, and didn’t even know how to drive. She thought she had nowhere to turn, so at five months, she agreed to have an abortion.
“It took years to recover from that experience,” she said. “You know, sometimes, we can think that coerced abortions only happen somewhere like China, where women are forced to undergo abortions against their will. But the truth is that coerced abortions happen everywhere abortion is legal, and a woman can become pregnant. And the first thing she has to do is defend her baby’s right to be born.”
Sixteen-year-old Kay’s abortion came at the coercion of her own mother. Kay wanted to have the child, but said, “My resolve quickly dissolved in the face of my mother’s wrath.”
“She told me I was only thinking of myself — that I was being incredibly selfish,” Kay recounts. “What about the baby? I was too young to be a mother. What about my schooling? I wouldn’t be able to get a decent job if I didn’t graduate from high school. What about college? I’d resent the baby if I had to give up my dreams. What about my career? I wouldn’t be able to support the baby and myself. What about our family? My family’s prominence in our small East Coast town would be ruined.”
When Kay resisted killing her child, her mother told her she would kick her out of the house. Terrified of being abandoned to live on the streets, Kay succumbed to her mother’s murderous demands. The shame and agony of aborting her first child lasted for years.
Congress needs to hear from you NOW calling them to hold the line against Planned Parenthood and its baby-killing schemes.
Tonya, a former abortion worker, says she saw this kind of parental coercion all the time. Tonya says that these underage girls would often tell her, “Yes, I am being forced to do this, and if I don’t, my parents will put me out or send me away.” When confronted, the parents would often lie to try to take the spotlight off themselves, only to have their daughters say, “Yes, you are, Mama. I didn’t know that I was coming to an abortion clinic. I thought this was just a regular doctor’s appointment for my pregnancy.”
When Bobbie became pregnant at 17, the adult man she had been dating and her mother ganged up on her to abort her child. “I should have aborted you when I got pregnant too young. It ruined my life,” Bobbie remembers her mother screaming. “I’m not raising your little bastard, and neither will you.”
Thankfully, Bobbie’s story has a happy ending. She refused to obey her mother or the man who impregnated her. Bobbie’s mother did kick her out. But her paternal grandmother took her in and saw her through the pregnancy. Bobbie’s daughter is now a happy, healthy beautiful young lady, whose mother constantly reminds her just how precious she, and all life, is.
Studies show that a staggering 67% of women are forced into abortion by their parents or partners.
But pro-life laws across the country are putting a stop to these murderous compelled abortions.
For years, Arkansas averaged 3,200 abortions annually. But a newly released report from the state’s Department of Health revealed that ZERO abortions were performed in Arkansas last year. Praise God!
In West Virginia, there were only 16 abortions performed in the state last year, a reduction of 98% from 2022. This lifesaving miracle is the result of the West Virginia legislature’s September 2022 ban on elective abortions.
Last Friday, Indiana released its report on abortion. During the first quarter of 2024, the Hoosier state experienced a 98% reduction in abortions, with 48 children killed during that three-month period, compared to the 1,931 Indiana children killed in the first quarter of 2023.
Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation are working state by state and in Congress to UNDO the protections we have fought so hard to win for the unborn and their mothers.
Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation are funding deceptive ballot initiatives in states across the nation, seeking to enshrine abortion on demand and throughout all nine months of pregnancy as a state constitutional right.
And if that doesn’t work, the same abortion grist mill associations are pressuring Congress to pass HR 12 and S 701, seeking to make abortion up until birth, even gruesome partial birth abortions, a federal right.
Melinda Gates, the ex-wife of eugenicist Bill Gates, has put up 1 billion dollars to promote abortion.
The battle for LIFE is the single most important battle of our lifetime ... of any lifetime really. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” God’s declaration to Jeremiah was not limited to the prophet. As the Creator of all life, God knew ALL of us before we were formed in our mother’s wombs. And He knows each of the souls whose lives were robbed by the enemy before they took their first earthly breath.
Let us not be the generation that allows this victory to slip through our fingers. Let us not be the generation that robs future children of the opportunity to sing Psalm 139 praises to our Creator.
God’s heart is for those who can’t speak up to defend themselves. If you are able to, please donate to Faith & Liberty so we can continue to stand up for the unborn in Washington, D.C. Your support bolsters our team in the
fight for life in the womb. Thank you!
