Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jun 3, 2024
Last Monday, on Memorial Day, we remembered those who gave all and are indeed grateful for their sacrifice that we might continue to live in this “land of the free and the home of the brave.” We commit to pray and stand for righteousness here in our nation’s capital so that their sacrifice will not be in vain.
We have had special times of engagement lately with the interns working on Capitol Hill. On Friday night, we had our first night of praise and worship outside our Ministry Center. It was a beautiful thing to watch as young people lifted hands and hearts together in praise to our God.
Our Bible studies are also going strong, and several new studies have started recently. We can all read and study the Scriptures on our own, but there is something about digging into the Word and discovering its treasure together that is truly powerful. All of us learn more and grow as we study together, and these groups cultivate friendship and fellowship in the Lord — which is critical in the face of what some interns are confronted with when they deal with the public.
Thank you for remembering these young people in your prayers. Thank you, too, for standing with Faith & Liberty in prayer and giving so we can continue to serve strategically from our Ministry Center!
