Last week was a whirlwind for the Faith & Liberty team but in a good way! Over the next two or three weeks, we’ll share what the Lord has been doing through last week’s prayer activities. There’s so much we can’t fit it all into one email!

We can truly say, though, that the Lord made a way for us. One way that we saw Him do this was how He opened to us historic and usually inaccessible places for our Rooftop Prayer Encounter. There we experienced the presence of the Lord and heard from Him in a beautiful way as we praised God and interceded for America from the ceremonial balcony and the House Speaker’s balcony. We also took communion together, remembering Christ’s death, in the Congressional Prayer Chapel. Jonathan Alexandre of Liberty Counsel Action was with us as well and sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Months ago, we didn’t even know on which D.C. rooftop we would be meeting! So, we can truly say, look what the Lord has done! Psalm 118:23 declares, “This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”

We are also thankful for you because your prayers came alongside in our preparation for this special time of petitioning God for our nation. You agreed with us, and the Lord heard.

Thank you for your support in so many ways, whether in prayer, volunteering, visiting to encourage us, sharing our ministry with others, or giving to ensure we can continue our ministry on Capitol Hill. We appreciate your standing with us in every way!

The Faith & Liberty team co-hosted the annual Rooftop Prayer Encounter on Tuesday morning in the U.S. Capitol. We focused our prayers on the nation’s capital with the themes “Reflection, Redemption and Revival.”

We were hosted by Speaker Mike Johnson in the Ceremonial Balcony Room.

Peggy Nienaber attended the Washington A Man of Prayer event. Members of Congress gathered in Statuary Hall for the annual reenactment celebrating the inauguration day of the first president and the first act of Congress.

Peggy met with pastors on Capitol Hill and with leaders from She Leads America. They had helpful planning sessions for upcoming events and outreach programs to those on Capitol Hill.

Peggy participated in Wednesday evening’s National Day of Prayer Celebration Dinner with the theme “Prepare in Prayer” as well as the Congressional National Observance on Capitol Hill.

COMING SOON

Today Peggy will attend a briefing hosted by Rep. Mary Miller and the Congressional Family Caucus in the Rayburn House Office Building. The topic will be Title IX and protecting women from violence.

Our Thursday evening Bible Study will start back this week, and we thank the Lord that the new Friday morning Bible Study is well attended.

Starting this Friday evening and once a month thereafter, interns working on Capitol Hill will gather for Game Night and fellowship at our Ministry Center.
