Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Apr 2, 2024
The LGBT lobby has never been a “live and let live” movement. Not long ago, a small group of students demanded to host a drag show at Texas A&M University. The president of the university declined.
Dr. Walter Wendler wrote an open letter titled "A Harmless drag Show? No Such thing," in which he said the event didn’t “preserve a single thread of human dignity.” “Drag shows are derisive, divisive and demoralizing misogyny.” These drag shows present "women in cartoon-like extremes for the amusement of others.”
The student group sued, and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take the case.
However, if the so-called “Equality Act” had been passed, the students would have a case. The school would be forced to support this attack on women. In addition, the federal government could have sued the school.
House Democrats are within one vote of passing HR 15 and bypassing Speaker Johnson. This is serious, and we must stop it.
HR 15 is a horrific threat to religious liberty and the freedom of speech — both at the same time. This is a full assault against you and every person and institution. This bill will elevate the LGBT & Q agenda, make abortion a federal right, and punish anyone who will not promote them.
Rush your urgent fax to Congress to stop Republicans from caving to radicals and urge them strongly resist HR 15. — Your Faith & Liberty team
The misnamed “Equality Act” is the most dangerous ambush of religious freedom.
The "Q" in LGBTQ includes about 550 sexually deviate paraphilias — including pedophilia that will become a protected class under this bill!
Cosmopolitan states: “Queerness is an umbrella term that is both an orientation and a community. ... The vagueness of the term is intentional— queer is an identity created for anyone outside of the heterosexual norm and meant to be inclusive.”
In addition, the activist group LGBTQ Nation wrote, the "Q in LGBTQ can also signify other sexual orientations and gender not covered by the acronym's preceding letters. If you're gender-neutral, non-binary, agender, genderfluid, pansexual, asexual, solosexual or something else not covered by LGBT, the Q has got you covered!"
In fact, there is an entire organization dedicated to normalizing pedophilia in America. B4U-ACT is a “collaborative effort of mental health professionals and people who are attracted to children or adolescents” with the goal “to educate the public regarding issues faced by these individuals.” The new euphemism for pedophile is a “minor-attracted person.”
And this bill is on the Senate floor waiting for a vote at any moment to give special privileges and legal protections for “Q.”
Do not sit on the sidelines while radicals twist our nation’s laws to abuse children and people of faith.
Among other things, the "Equality Act" will mean that:
Biological men will destroy women's sports and have entry to their restrooms, locker rooms, dressing/shower rooms, and shelters.
Churches will be forced to provide equal access to LGBTQ ceremonies if the facilities are open to natural marriage ceremonies.
Churches and religious schools would be forced to hire staff involved in LGBTQ conduct; give men access to restrooms, locker rooms, showers and sports; allow boys to bunk with girls on camping and overnight trips; and provide insurance to cover hormones, mutilating surgeries, and chemical and surgical abortions.
Noncompliant churches and schools will lose federal, state, and local tax exemptions and accreditations.
From pre-K, children will be taught that they can choose their gender, will be encouraged to experiment with each other to find their "identities," and will be able to demand opposite, both, and neither sex pronouns (he for a girl, zie for neither, mx for both).
Pregnancy resource centers will be forced to provide abortion referrals.
And if this bill passes, you will not escape its reach into every business, church, school, and to basically everyone. It can even apply to many personal homes!
When the Equality Act was first introduced, a number of Republicans unwittingly sponsored it before fully understanding the impact this horrible bill would have.
Now, we have just a one-vote margin on this bill in the U.S. House between Democrats and Republicans. However, at one point, eight Republicans voted for this bill. They are: Reps. Susan Brooks (IN), Mario Diaz-Balart (FL), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), John Katko (NY), Tom Reed (NY), Elise Stefanik (NY), Will Hurd (TX), and Greg Walden (OR).
All of these people are still in the U.S. House except for Hurd, who tried to run for president, and Walden, who resigned under a firestorm of s*xual misconduct allegations. Meanwhile, Elise Stefanik has risen to the position of the fourth most powerful Republican in the House as Chair of the House Republican Conference.
Congress needs to hear from you in this moment.
Another Republican was Sen. Susan Collins from Maine who actually co-sponsored of the “Equality Act.” With a lot of your help, her staff later announced she was withdrawing her support and voted against the same bill she had previously co-sponsored!
WE CAN STOP THIS BILL ...
WE NEED EVERY VOTE AND EVERY VOICE. We need your voice NOW to send a strong message.
STOP this bill from becoming law.
This is a critical moment. We must oppose the “Equality Act.” Clearly the attack on our Judeo-Christian values in our nation’s capital is at full bore.
Without you, NONE of our ministry on Capitol Hill is possible. Faith & Liberty needs your help as never before!
Finally, please join us in resolute prayer for America's future.
