What They Did to This Pastor May Happen Here...

Oct 17, 2023

In a shocking scene, a 75-year-old pastor was forcefully arrested, dragged, and kicked by police officers — all because he preached from the pulpit about marriage being the union of one man and one woman.

Even though he never mentioned homosexuality, his comments were construed to be “hate speech."

Three police swarmed around the elderly man as they pinned him within their tight circle. When told that they were being filmed, the officers positioned their bodies to hide what they were doing. The pastor sustained injuries to his wrist and shoulder. But he was not able to get medical treatment right away because they locked him in jail overnight!

This wasn’t in North Korea or China. This happened in the United Kingdom. The U.K passed its own version of the “Equality Act” 13 years ago. This shows how quickly we can expect persecution if we allow the Equality Act to pass in America. Already they are using their version in the U.K. to arrest a pastor preaching from the pulpit.

Right now, 212 U.S. House Democrats are working to pass the Equality Act in America. If it passes, we can expect a similar abuse of freedom.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. We need to hold members of Congress accountable and demand they hold the line against this freedom-killing bill. Vote NO on HR 15. — Your Faith & Liberty team

The alarming events happening in the U.K. are not lost on its citizens. Fred de Fossard, head of the British Prosperity Unit at the Legatum Institute, warns about the dangers of the “Equality Act” and why we must stop it now.

“It is fashionable to believe that politics is downstream from culture, but when it comes to the British public sector, it is arguably the other way around. A web of laws and obligations, stemming from the Equality Act and its Public Sector Equality Duty have created a new culture, reinforced by case law and precedent, which shows no sign of ending, despite many ministers’ attempts to stamp out the Left-wing culture wars in Whitehall,” the U.K. equivalent of Capitol Hill. (emphasis added)

“This turbocharges the equality agenda, instead of simply guarding against undue discrimination. It [the Equality Act] has entirely changed the way the Government operates,” de Fossard warns.

Don’t think this abuse couldn’t happen in America. In 2015, Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis was sent to prison for six days because she stopped issuing all marriage licenses while she waited on the outcome of her request for a religious accommodation to the newly minted same sex “marriage” from the Supreme Court.

And consider Jack Phillips, the Colorado baker who refused to make a cake celebrating same sex “marriage” or transgenderism. After many years, he is still battling in court.

What is happening in the U.K. should be expected to follow here in America if the Equality Act passes.

Who would have thought that the land of the Magna Carta would be dispatching police to arrest and harm a pastor for preaching the Bible from the pulpit. The damage the Equality Act has caused in the U.K is terrible. It would cause similar damage in America. This vote will be close. We must bombard Congress to demand members do everything in their power to block this bill!

Children raised in same sex households are deprived of a mother or a father. Many are now speaking out about their experiences. “Because of the pressure on children of gays and lesbians to defend their parents … seldom do we feel that we can be honest about our loss publicly,” shared two women who were raised in this type of household.

Children raised in same sex households are far different than children raised by a single parent. Having two “moms” or two “dads” not only permanently deprives the child of one gender, but the missing gender is replaced with a negative view of the excluded gender. Two women not only deprive the child of a father, but they also give the child a negative view of men. Story after story exposes the deep and long-lasting impact this has on these children.

No wonder the Democrat congressional leaders refused to hear the testimony of these people by shutting down committee testimony or skipping the committees altogether and trying to rush this bill straight to a vote.

It doesn’t stop there. A part of this bill also will silence any government official from speaking out against what is happening in these households. If it becomes law, the policy established will extend to the private sector and even to the pulpit.

HR 15 will effectively lock children into same sex households and thereby permanently deny them the opportunity for a father or mother. This bill would force the worst LGBTQ+ laws on everyone. Rush your critical faxes to Congress to urge them to block this bill.
