First, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the atrocities committed against the Israeli people by Hamas terrorists. Please join us in praying for Israel and the victims of this violence.

Israel needs our prayers and support like never before. God’s Word says that “he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4) — and we cling to that!


Faith & Liberty serves many different types of people in our strategic location on Capitol Hill. One of those groups is women. Last week, we shared with you our successful Fairness in Women’s Sports Forum. Those types of events take significant planning, but they are surely worth the time and effort as we addressed a topic that affects many women in our country and beyond. On the surface, it was about sports, but in reality, it’s about the spiritual realm and God’s created order of male and female.

Another important relationship we have is with She Leads America. With that group, we hosted the She Leads America Connection Reception with over 65 Christian women from across the USA in attendance.

We also minister to women congressional leaders. These members of Congress carry a heavy load. Many of them take an unpopular stand for the unborn of our nation — and that puts a target on their back. We want to support them, just as Aaron and Hur did for Moses when his arms got tired as he fought for Israel’s victory in the name of the Lord (Exodus 17:8-16).

There are so many ways we minister to women on Capitol Hill, including with the young interns we mentor who are finding their way in life.

MONDAY RECAP

Faith & Liberty co-hosted the Congressional Women’s Prayer Breakfast in the Rayburn House Office Building. This event recognized and honored Senator Marsha Blackburn as the “Congressional Legislator of the Year” and presented Congresswomen Lisa McClain and Virginia Foxx each with the “Christian Women of Faith” award. These women leaders in D.C. need our support, prayers, and friendship as they have a hard road ahead with the platforms set before them.

Faith & Liberty hosted the She Leads America Connection Reception at our ministry center. Women from across the United States were praying, singing, and reconnecting before the week’s events. We all made new friends and renewed past acquaintances at this special informal gathering.

Faith and Liberty’s hosted the State Women’s Strategic Meeting and Lunch at the ministry center. We invited the State Leaders of She Leads America to exchange ideas, support, encourage each other, and network together.

COMING SOON

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, Faith & Liberty will participate in the National Prayer Altar, a live in-person and online event at 6 p.m. at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. Together, we will join believers of all ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, and Christian denominations to unify and pray for America.

December's Live Nativity will take place Thursday, Dec. 7th, at 11 a.m. Please pray about the volunteers, costumes, and paperwork for permits for this special event sharing the gospel story of the birth of Jesus Christ. Live animals do draw attention on Capitol Hill!

PRAYER

Pray for Israel and its people — for protection, provision and for an end to this violence.

Pray for our many Bible studies, including the new Capitol Hill Study. Pray for the leaders to lead each group well and for the participants to learn and apply God’s Word and grow in fellowship with one another.

Pray that Faith & Liberty will continue to strengthen and support members of Congress who are standing for the truth and seeking to honor God in how they represent their constituents.

Pray for all leaders in the three branches of government, that they would ask God for wisdom to govern well.

Pray that the new monthly prayer time, Rock Wednesday, will draw many to acknowledge the Lord in all their ways. Pray that the Holy Spirit would lead Peggy as she facilitates this sacred hour.

Pray that more interns and staffers will choose to follow the Lord in the waters of baptism and be discipled in their faith.
