The Faith & Liberty team gets together every summer for a private prayer retreat, and the time is just about here! So, why is this retreat so important to us and to our ministry?

It may seem obvious, but as believers, we need to intentionally remember — just like Israel was commanded to do in the Old Testament — all that God has done. We acknowledge Him and seek His direction, as Proverbs 3:6 instructs: “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Step by step, we rely on Him to lead and direct the paths of each of us at Faith & Liberty in the coming year.

And we think of you, our kind and committed supporters. Some of you pray for the requests we provide in this weekly Monday Report. Some give as God leads according to His provision and direction. Some come to the Ministry Center to visit, encourage, and pray with us. Some volunteer to help with special events or prayer-walk on Capitol Hill. For all of this support and more, we appreciate you.

You are part of Faith & Liberty, and we thank the Lord for you! So, on our prayer retreat (and at many other times), we pray for you by name. We seek to follow Ephesians 6:18: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

Faith & Liberty will host a Fairness in Women’s Sports luncheon in September.  The focus of the event is men competing in women’s sports. We will have a panel discussion, and members of Congress and Olympic award-winning athletes will discuss this critical topic. We have invited members of the House and Senate, swimmer Riley Gaines, Olympic Gold and Silver track medalist Dr. Madeline Manning Mims, and Penny Nance, president and CEO of Concerned Women for America.

Faith & Liberty’s new hour of Prayer in the U.S. Capitol is open to anyone working in congressional offices. This will start in September and continue each month. Peggy Nienaber will host and lead the prayers during this time.

Faith & Liberty is planning for September’s U.S. Capitol Police Officer of the Year Recognition Breakfast. This event gives us an opportunity to share the gospel and acknowledge those who keep us safe on Capitol Hill.
