Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

One of the key threats of the grossly misnamed “Equality Act” is that it erases all religious freedom protection under the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). The U.S. House is very close to passing this bill, but we can — we must — stop HR 15.
The Equality Act provides no accommodation for conscience or religious convictions. Compliance and celebration of LGBT & Q will be forced by law. Noncompliant churches, schools, and hospitals could lose tax exemption, and colleges and universities could lose accreditation. Without accreditation, students will not be able to get loans and will have difficulty being accepted into graduate school programs.
BUT WE CAN BEAT THIS DANGEROUS BILL. We must flood Congress with a mountain of faxes and DEMAND they VOTE NO on the misnamed “Equality Act.” Select here or the button below. And sign our petition.
Rush your urgent faxes to Congress to stop this “Equality Act.” — Your Faith & Liberty team
The Equality Act is so radical it expressly states that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act does not apply. In 1993, RFRA garnered widespread bipartisan support. But Democrats now want to bow at the LGBT & Q altar and bury RFRA.
The Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ lobbying group in the nation, sent Joe Biden a list of 85 demands, including the revocation of the tax-exempt status of churches and religious organizations who refuse to promote LGBTQ.
When the prior version of HR 15 (HR 5) came up in the Senate, then-HRC President Alphonso David admitted that yes, the Equality Act applies to churches, schools, religious organizations — to ALL employers. And by the way, it also applies to anything online.
This bill will punish and bankrupt millions of Americans who believe that men are men and women are women, and allows absolutely no exemptions for people of faith or the organizations they run.
This is exactly what HR 15 would do: It gives special protections for ALL sexual perversion (nearly 550 paraphilias — including pedophilia) to be promoted in churches, schools, and online — everywhere! And it will make abortion a federal right and supersede all state laws.
There are already 212 co-sponsors in the U.S. House. If only a few Republicans sign on to HR 15, it will pass — even over the objection of the Speaker. We can stop this bill, and we must be vocal and persistent.
If passed, the Equality Act will reach every corner of our lives. No one will escape its reach. It will impose an extreme LGBT and Q agenda on YOU!
This bill is so radical that it revokes the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The federal RFRA was passed in 1993. RFRA restored religious freedom in America to the same level of protection enjoyed prior to the terrible 1990 Supreme Court case that weakened the First Amendment’s “Free Exercise of Religion” protections.
RFRA passed unanimously in the House, by a 97-3 margin in the Senate, and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton.
Even the ACLU and Americans for the Separation of Church and State agreed with Christian organizations like Liberty Counsel in supporting RFRA. I don’t recall any law that ever enjoyed such widespread support.
Put simply, RFRA ensures that religious freedom is protected like it always was prior to 1990. Without RFRA, churches, faith-based schools, employers, and individuals will lose under the Equality Act because there are no exceptions or accommodations for deeply held religious beliefs.
The "Equality Act" revokes all aspects of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, leaving people of faith without a defense.
Churches, Christian schools, employers, health care providers, pharmacists — everyone — will be forced to accept BOTH the radical LGTB and Q agenda as well as the pro-abortion agenda.
NO ONE will be safe, as no religious exemptions will be allowed.
No school, church, business, or person will be allowed to separate boys from girls or men from women in housing, sleeping arrangements, locker rooms, showers, or sports. On demand, boys must be allowed to use girls’ facilities under the outrageous Equality Act.
This bill “ties the hands of religious believers and says you are not welcome to live out your faith,” Mary Rice Hasson, senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., stated in proceedings on Capitol Hill.
Together, we have an opportunity to STOP HR 15. We must do everything in our power to win this battle — before the Equality Act tries to stop us from living out our faith.
