You Can Do Something About This Heartache

Oct 27, 2022

The Democratic-led U.S. Senate leadership promised a vote on the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act. All 50 Senate Democrats and four Republicans are on board. The bill already passed the House. The Senate vote will be very close. But we can—we MUST—stop it!

HR 8404 will do all the following, and more:

  1. Impose same-sex marriage.
  2. Expand child bride marriages.
  3. Open the door for polygamy and polyamory.
  4. Establish a national public policy that gender is irrelevant.
  5. Expand the LGBTQ agenda.
  6. Target churches and religious organizations.

This is a dangerous bill. The Senate is our last opportunity to stop HR 8404. Rush urgent faxes to the Senate stop HR 8404. — Your Faith & Liberty team

Children who grow up in same-sex households fare poorly on almost every measurable test no matter where they reside in the world. Gender, male and female, plays an important role in the development and well-being of children. Simply put, children do best when raised in a household with a mom and a dad.

Children of parents in these types of relationships often express their feelings of hurt, anger, disappointment, frustration, confusion and even feeling lost and furious at their parents.

She had a big void in her life ...

With two “moms,” Heather Barwick did not have a father. She wrote, “There was one need, however, that they [her mother and female partner] could never meet no matter how much they loved me: the need for a father. … I also love my absent father. I love a man whom I don’t even know. A man who, by all accounts, is a lousy father. I don’t know why I love him, I just do. I ached for my father to love me. I ached for the father I knew I would never have. … Accepting and promoting same-sex parenting guarantees that a child will miss out on their mother or father.” (emphasis added)

A mother and a father are foundational to a child’s well-being. The stories below are tragic. This is not a temporary setback for these children. It is an attack on the very foundation of who they are and how successful they will be in their future relationships. And the negative impact experienced by children in same-sex households are becoming very common:

  • “I have always had some issues with trust, but since finding out my father is gay, they have only gotten worse … My impressions of true love, marriage, and truly trusting someone have been rocked to the core … ”

  • “I suspected, but tossed it up to his artistic talents and his taking the road less traveled. I have been angry – so angry that I had started to disassociate all traits of his that I inherited.

  • “I have always been involved with my father’s life, we are as close as two people can be, but now I have told my father that I do not want to speak to him until I understand what it is I need from him. I just feel so lost. Nothing makes sense to me anymore.

As shocking and devastating as this heartache is for kids raised in these homes, the impact of these relationships becomes more devastating.

In fact, children who are raised by lesbian parents are 10.5 times more likely as a child to be “touched sexually by a parent or adult.” They are half as likely to have full-time employment. And three times more likely to be co-habitating, which is tied to poorer outcomes in all personal and relationship health measurements.

In addition, those raised by same-sex parents are five times more likely to recently have considered suicide and more than twice as likely to be in therapy.

Yet, despite this objective reality, HR 8404 will unleash a destructive wave that will be used to abolish the objective reality of two sexes, undermine marriage and harm children. This bill MUST be stopped.

We cannot sacrifice our children and grandchildren to this evil agenda. Yet that is exactly what HR 8404 will do. It will put children all across our nation at risk.

We are providing critical information to members of Congress to stop HR 8404. Our meetings and your faxes have already made a difference. But the vote will be very close. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is pushing for a vote soon.

In addition to sending faxes and signing our petition, you can join our Challenge Grant to DOUBLE the impact of your gift right now.

Same-sex, child bride, pedophiliac, incestuous and polygamous “marriages”—are all packaged together in HR 8404. This bill is disastrous. It is only a few votes from passing. Schumer is obsessed with passing this bill. We MUST stop him.

It is disturbing, to say the least. If the Senate passes HR 8404, it will expand abuse nationally and be the end of marriage as we know it.

Rush urgent faxes to the Senate to stop HR 8404. The time is short. Tell as many senators as you can to stop this bill!

Without you, NONE of our work is possible. Thanks to generous supporters, our Challenge Grant will effectively DOUBLE YOUR DONATION. PLEASE, be a part of the blessing today by selecting here.
