Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Aug 16, 2022
After three decades in Washington, D.C., our efforts to defend marriage and the family are needed now more than ever. At this moment, the U.S. Senate is pushing a bill that will deconstruct marriage, harm society, abuse children and silence or bankrupt ANYONE who stands in the way.
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas signaled that the same-sex “marriage” ruling is on the same shaky footing as the Court’s abortion decisions. It is just a matter of time before the unconstitutional same-sex marriage opinion of five High Court “lawyers” is overturned and the power to define marriage is returned to the states.
In response, Democrats and a few Republicans are desperately trying to push a federal bill that will snatch this power from each state using the oxymoronic “Respect for Marriage Act” (HR 8404).
While it may be difficult to believe, this legislation will subject people of faith to be investigated and sued by the Department of Justice if they dare speak up against same-sex marriage. They can be sued by individuals as well.
At the same time as this bill criminalizes people of faith, it throws open the doors for pedophiles to marry little boys and girls to cover up their abuse and crimes. Send faxes immediately to help fight this outrageous bill. — Your Faith & Liberty team
The worldview behind this “marriage” bill goes back to a shockingly sick and disgraceful foundation. The current “sexual revolution” can be traced to a man named Alfred Kinsey, who interviewed jailed sex offenders to publish the lie that 10% of men were homosexual.
One of the most disturbing aspects of Kinsey’s vile “work” was to falsely claim that rape actually benefits the victim! He claimed, “Children are … unharmed by incest, adult/child sex, and often benefit thereby.” And that “there was no proven medical or other reason to forbid incest or adult-child sex.”
Using that lie as a foundation, he then claimed that marriage between a man and a woman was equal to that of between “boy and dog, man and boy, girl, or baby. For there is no abnormality and no normality,” the Kinsey Report said.
This is emphatically wrong. We know many people who have carried the emotional and physical scars of this type of abuse. It impacts every aspect of their life with devastating tragedy and pain that can ruin and even end many lives.
Yet because of Kinsey’s lies, punishments for rape were reduced. And now, more of his lies are being pushed.
And this bill takes Kinsey’s lies to a whole new level. It will allow states that have no age limit to marry, like California, to set marriage policy for the nation. This kind of terrible policy has resulted in several hundred thousand “child bride” marriages and years of abuse. With the law mandating same-sex marriage, the “child bride” could also be in a man-boy or woman-girl “marriage.”
This is truly a horrible bill! Rush your urgent faxes to the Senate to block this attack on our nation, on our freedom and on marriage.
An 80-year-old Democrat woman had been a member of her local Washington state YMCA for 35 years. She was supportive of her local Y promoting LGBT issues … until she was showering in a YMCA locker room and heard a male voice. When she investigated, she said: “I saw a man in a woman’s bathing suit watching maybe four or five little girls pulling down their suits in order to use the toilet.”
But when she brought this to the attention of the YMCA and complained about it, she found out the biological male was a YMCA employee! In response, the YMCA’s management threatened to call the police on this elderly woman and declared she was “banned for life” from their facilities!
Voyeurism now appears to be fine at this YMCA (a place where men have historically gathered for anonymous sex with men—which the “YMCA” song by the Village People celebrates). Our nation has turned its moral compass on its head!
All of this happened without a federal law demanding that the Department of Justice investigate and litigate ahead of this bill. HR 8404 will establish the baseline for federal public policy. The implications of such a law will be far reaching.
This bill in Congress now has the power to trample religious convictions about marriage. The attorney general can sue along with individuals to punish people who object!
We must protect marriage, family, children and freedom. Send faxes immediately to the Senate to stop HR 8404.
Not only will HR 8404 force same-sex marriage on the states, but it will also allow one state to set the marriage policy for every other state. And that means the impact goes far beyond same-sex marriage.
Now it’s your turn to make your voice heard. Block this radical bill with your rushed faxes now.
