We have been battling in prayer and in the Spirit against the pro-abortion agenda that threatens to end more infant lives, and we will continue to keep watch as the Justices of the Supreme Court will soon issue their opinion on the Dobbs case. Next week, however, our attention also will turn to another significant issue—persecuted believers around the world—during the International Religious Freedom Summit. I can hardly imagine what it must be like to be a believer in places like Afghanistan, Nigeria, Uzbekistan or Cuba, where the freedom to worship is suppressed by radical Islamists, religious nationalists, communist atheists or paranoid dictators. The degree of suffering may vary from place to place, but American Christians used to freedom of religion would find it burdensome to live where they could not openly meet with fellow believers, fearlessly carry a Bible or simply identify as a follower of Christ. Yes, we have a lot of problems in America, but we still have freedoms—which we seek to preserve—that many others do not have. We must remember our brothers and sisters in the family of God who suffer for their faith. Please take a moment now to stop and pray for a particular region of the world, for the believers there to stand strong in the faith, that God would meet their needs and that the church would grow.
Praying for the persecuted,
Peggy Nienaber, Vice President

MONDAY RECAP
- Faith & Liberty co-hosted the “She Leads America Luncheon” for Women on the Hill last Tuesday. Because of security reasons and extreme protests in Washington, D.C., we moved the meeting to another building in a nearby state. Women from across the U.S. came together to plan and pray. Faith & Liberty is now setting up times to meet with women members of Congress to pray for them.
- Peggy Nienaber participated in the Hill Ministries Prayer Lunch and Meeting. Ministries working on Capitol Hill daily support congressional staffers, members of Congress, Supreme Court staff, the Justices, law enforcement officers and others who work in Washington, D.C. We are praying for the unrest to become peace.
- Peggy also had several scheduled prayer meetings with several congressional members.
- The Faith & Liberty team participated in the final IRF Summit meeting to finalize details for next week’s event that we have been anticipating for a full year!
- We have also continued Prayer Walks and Vigils around the Supreme Court with the soon release of critical decisions, including Dobbs.
- We participated in the National Family Prayer Altar service last Thursday. With world events sparking fear and uncertainty, the Museum of the Bible and Pastors James and Sharon Ward invited Christians of all ethnicities, cultural backgrounds and denominations to gather in prayer. The gathering was based on God’s instructions to the prophet Joel (Joel 1:3) and included activities for families.
COMING SOON
- Fr. Frank Pavone will interview Peggy Nienaber on the End Abortion Podcast to discuss the upcoming Supreme Court opinion on the Dobbs case.
- The International Religious Freedom Summit will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, 999 9th Street NW, Washington, D.C., June 28-30. Liberty Counsel is planning an hour-long breakout session, “Religious Freedom at your Own Doorstep,” on Thursday, June 30, at 1:30 p.m. in Meeting Room 12. The first 50 attendees will receive a free gift bag. To attend the IRF Summit, click here and sign up.
- Faith & Liberty will also be meeting with the Rooftop prayer ministry on the upcoming global prayer event.
- Prayer Retreat: Our Faith & Liberty team takes an annual private prayer retreat, which will be August 2nd-4th this year. During this time, we look to the Lord to guide and strengthen us for the strategic work to which He has called us and we intentionally intercede for every one of our supporters—by name. Please submit your prayer requests by calling Patty Bills at the Faith & Liberty office at 202-737-1776 or by emailing us at [email protected].

PRAYER CONCERNS
Abortion: The Supreme Court continues to issue opinions on designated days. The Court has not yet released the final decision on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. Pray for the protection of the Justices and that the official opinion will come down on the side of life, finally overturning Roe v. Wade. Protection: Thank the Lord, with us, for His protection ahead of the release of the Dobbs decision. The area in front of the Supreme Court has fencing three layers deep, and traffic is limited. We know our ministry is a target as we stand for life and the gospel, but we are taking security seriously and are not taking unnecessary risks. We thank you for praying for the safety of our staff and protection of our property. Religious Freedom: Pray that God would open doors for conversation with key leaders at next week’s International Religious Freedom Summit, that the event will help the persecuted and glorify God. Pray that every detail would be taken care of and for the preparation of the speakers—Senior Counsel for Governmental Affairs Jonathan Alexandre, Liberty Counsel; Camp Constitution co-founder Hal Shurtleff; and Faith & Liberty staff—for Liberty Counsel’s breakout session. Planning: Pray for wisdom as we plan for the fiscal year. Our staff will meet this month.
Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!
Make a difference and partner with us.
