The person picked to control the “Disinformation Governance Board” is absolutely chilling. Michael Chertoff thinks our government should be able to spy on Americans and then detain them indefinitely. He enabled the torture of people suspected of terrorism at Guantanamo Bay and then used his expertise and position to initially hide this from the public.

If that weren’t enough, he was caught in the illegal practice of undisclosed lobbying, according to The Nation.

So here we have someone who literally wrote the book for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) … and is willing to break our laws himself. We’ll explain below how incredibly dangerous this combination is—for all of us.

Everyone agrees that terrorists should be punished. What we don’t agree on is: Who is a terrorist? Certainly not law-abiding citizens—you think.

Last year, at school board meetings, parents frustrated with COVID policies forced on their children were labeled by an education group as “domestic terrorists” committing “hate crimes.”

The next day, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland instructed the FBI to investigate these parents. The FBI encouraged educators to report parents to the FBI’s National Threat Operation Center! Our own government declared a “War on Parents.”

Biden’s attorney general stated that constitutional “protection does not extend to … efforts to intimidate individuals based on their views.” But under this statement, if someone feels “intimidated” by you, that feeling is sufficient to end your free speech. Even if the person was not intimidated but claims you wanted to intimidate him, you again lose your free speech under this regime’s way of thinking.

The ever-changing definition of a “domestic terrorist” is also deeply concerning. Americans are still being detained without bail over January 6.

Now, combine this with the new “Disinformation” Board ... in America. Politicians now have the path for the government to see and hear everything you say, censor anything they want and put you in jail—indefinitely—if they don’t like your message!

We cannot allow this to stand! Overwhelm Congress with your faxes to immediately stop the DHS Disinformation Board.

And it doesn’t end there.

In February 2022, the DHS published a warning of “a heightened threat” from “false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information … [by] domestic threat actors.”

The government warned the language causing this heightened threat were the words that “sow discord and undermine public trust” in our government.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, the DHS spells it out. “For example, there is widespread online proliferation of false or misleading narratives regarding unsubstantiated widespread election fraud and COVID-19.”

Now our own government is maligning and targeting freedom-loving, God-fearing, peaceful patriots as part of the domestic terrorism that Biden’s team is working to identify and quash!

Just because a person holds a peaceful opinion or viewpoint that Joe Biden doesn’t like does not make him a threat or a terrorist. But this is exactly the language our government is using now. It is the time-tested language used by dictators over the years to target and attack anyone who threatens their tyranny.

The new Disinformation Board takes these attacks on freedom to a whole new level. And it is being run by the man who is responsible for the single largest attack on America’s constitutional freedoms this century!

If we don’t act now, and push back vigorously, freedom will be nothing but a memory. Make your voice heard reverberating down the halls of Congress with your faxes that demand an end to this evil “board” now!

In every emerging dictatorship, there is a common theme. It must have control over what people can hear and say (or read and write). There’s nothing new under the sun.

Adolph Hitler had the “Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda.” And in 1917, the Soviet government launched the “Decree on Press,” controlling the media. Four years later, the “Glavlit” was launched to control what books were allowed in the USSR.

And to follow in this evil path, America now has its own “Disinformation Governance Board.” For a society to stay free, however, the freedoms of the press and speech must be preserved.

We have the choice to speak up or stay silent now, and perhaps forever. We urge you to rush your urgent faxes to every member of Congress you can to defund the new DHS board right now!
