Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

May 16, 2022

No doubt many of you have been following the news of the radical abortion protests outside the Supreme Court and at some of the Justices’ homes. Since the leak of the Dobbs draft opinion that, if not changed, will end Roe v. Wade—though not abortion—in America, witchcraft and demonic activity has been heightened in Washington and across the country.

All of this points to a great need for prayer for a favorable outcome in the Dobbs case, for the preborn and for families. Because of this need, Faith & Liberty had a busy week of preparation for last night’s Candlelight Prayer Vigil to End Abortion. At the start of the program, we were absolutely thrilled when we were blessed not only with one rainbow, but two, appearing in the sky giving us a beautiful view of God’s mercy (Gen. 9:12-17).

We will continue praying at the Supreme Court every Sunday evening until Roe’s end is announced. Please join with us as much as you can during this prayerful season as we contend in the Spirit for the lives of the preborn and for generations to come.

For America's Future,

Peggy Nienaber, Vice President

MONDAY RECAP

  • We met with the Aglow International team to pray for the Ministry Center’s outreach programs and Bible studies and for protection in these difficult times.
  • We also held a prayer time with congressional staff at the Ministry Center. We prayed for our capital, for protection and for all issues before our members of Congress.
COMING SOON
  • Rally for Life: Faith & Liberty’s team is assisting the worship leader Sean Feucht and pro-life coalitions at the Pray, Praise & Worship Rally in front of the Supreme Court on May 17. Several guests will speak at the rally. Stay tuned to the Faith & Liberty Facebook page for updates.
  • Faith & Liberty will host the She Leads America Women's Prayer Luncheon for congressional women on June 14. We believe the Lord wants the Faith & Liberty team to plan and host a quarterly prayer time to support these “Women on the Hill.”
  • The International Religious Freedom Summit will be held at the end of June. Faith & Liberty is planning a breakout session for the summit.
  • Prayer Retreat: Every year our Faith & Liberty team takes a private prayer retreat during which we intercede for every one of our supporter friends—by name. Just as prayer is our lifeline in our walk with God, our supporters are our lifeline for our ministry on Capitol Hill. Being able to pray for their needs is a privilege! By seeking the Lord’s will—for our ministry, our team, our nation’s leaders and our supporters—we look to God to guide and strengthen us to accomplish all He wants us to do! To submit your prayer requests, call Patty Bills at the Faith & Liberty office at 202-737-1776 or email us at [email protected].

PRAYER CONCERNS

Let us continue to pray fervently for the outcome of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, which is expected to overturn Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood. Pray for an official opinion to be released in favor of life. Pray that the Justices who took a pro-life stance will not succumb to the pressure of protesters who want them to reverse their stand for the preborn.

Pray for the Pray, Praise & Worship Rally during the noon hour, Tuesday, May 17, as we join with Sean Feucht and other pro-life advocates to intercede for the Dobbs opinion and for life.

Pray for any details that need to be finalized for the International Religious Freedom Summit in June. We want this to be an event that helps the persecuted and glorifies God.

Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!

Make a difference and partner with us.
