Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

Apr 4, 2022

Faith & Liberty hosted the Washington Studies interns this past week in Washington, D.C. In a country where there is much turmoil and disagreement, our interns were a light in what is sometimes a dark world. They were right where they needed to be, making a difference and praying with lawmakers and congressional staffers.

We walked these young people through the Capitol where they saw the hustle and bustle of members heading to vote on various bills. We made connections with members of Congress, the Senate and House chaplains and staffers. We had appointments in the Library of Congress and a tour of the U.S. Capitol, as well as some behind-the-scenes tours.

During this invaluable week for these interns, they were able to see firsthand, perhaps now more than ever before, the need for God’s presence in Washington.

In the meantime, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court is expected to advance following the Senate Judiciary Committee vote, which will likely take place today. Our prayer team will be in the room as the vote happens and will monitor each vote. If Judge Jackson’s nomination proceeds to the full Senate, her final confirmation vote will likely take place Friday. Please pray with us that God’s will be done!

For America's future,

PRAYER CONCERNS

Pray that Faith & Liberty will continue to be a light in our nation’s capital and that God would use us as salt and light at this critical time in the history of America.

Pray for Peggy and other members of the International Religious Freedom Summit steering committee. Pray for guidance as they plan the June 28-30 event expected to impact the lives of people of faith around the world.

Join with us as we pray diligently for victory in our Supreme Court case on behalf of Hal Shurtleff and Camp Constitution concerning the Christian flag. Our chairman, Mat Staver, argued the free speech case against the City of Boston in January, but we must persevere in prayer until the Court announces its decision on the matter.

Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!

Make a difference and partner with us.
