Sending Billions to Iran for Oil

Mar 17, 2022

Early Sunday morning, a dozen missiles exploded near a “sprawling U.S. consulate complex” in Iraq. Iran immediately claimed responsibility.

At the same time, Joe Biden is trying to give billions of dollars to purchase oil from Iran—the same terrorist-host country that JUST attacked us! An attack on a consulate or an embassy is an attack on America!

But we don’t have to beg Iran—a government that tramples on the principle of religious freedom—to give us oil and gas, nor should we entertain such a dreadful thought. We have what we need right here. Biden needs to make America energy independent again.

This is an issue of national security, and if left unaddressed, will cripple our economy. Urge Congress with your faxes to immediately pass the Energy Freedom Act to open up pipelines and new energy production for American independence. —You Faith & Liberty team

Biden is desperately trying to block American energy independence. At the same time, the Iranian foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, is working to jump-start negotiations. This week he travels to Moscow to try to finalize details of the new Iran Deal.

As bad as the first Iran Deal was ... this one is worse, according to Gabriel Noronha, a State Department official and Iran sanctions expert. “I realized that Biden was not going back to the JCPOA. His team negotiated an entirely different agreement ... it is much, much worse than the original.”

Just one part of this new Iran Deal is that America will “pay Iran more than 90 billion immediately after the deal is concluded and an additional 50 billion annually through oil and gas revenues,” and this all goes to a nation that absolutely hates us and is getting closer to developing nuclear warheads.

We don’t have to pay hundreds of billions to known terrorists who hate us. We have the energy we need right here in America. We just need Biden and Congress to allow oil and gas to flow freely.

There is a good solution. We can make America energy independent again. Urge our federal legislators to support the Energy Freedom Act and to make America self-reliant today.

The attack from Iran over the weekend was significant and a serious escalation in hostility. Yet the Biden administration is strongly considering a plan to write a check to this nation for 90 billion dollars for nothing more than their signatures. And he wants to pay 50 billion annually for Iran’s oil.

Iran will use this money to build a nuclear weapon to use against its neighbor, Israel, and the United States.

We must stop capitulating to terrorists!

Biden’s foreign policy is inscrutable at best. And it is revealing that these negotiations with Iran are happening in the Russian capital—not our own. Yes, the same Russia that is now slaughtering women and children in Ukraine.

But there is a different path we can take—one that strengthens our economy and keeps America independent. If we are forced to rely upon foreign sources for energy, America’s national security will be threatened.

There is legislation in Congress to open up American ingenuity for energy creation. Congress can act on this now. Send your faxes to demand that our government allows energy independence from other nations.

The Energy Freedom Act will accelerate approval for energy creation projects, stop executive overreach and allow efficient transportation and many other good stewardship principles.

Even more importantly, it strips the president of total control over energy projects. It states, “No Presidential permit ... or any other Executive order shall be necessary for the construction, connection, operation, or maintenance of an oil or natural gas pipeline or electric transmission facility, or any cross-border segment thereof.”

In addition, this bill will have a minimum threshold of leases that must be granted on public lands in nine states and more if energy reserves are found.

Our congressional offices need to be flooded with messages of support for Sen. Cruz’s bill and other efforts to open oil and gas production and make America energy independent again! Make your voice echo down the hallways of Congress and urge our federal legislators to demand energy production and independence today.
