Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

Feb 14, 2022

Last July, the fences around the U.S. Capitol came down, and we rejoiced! Today, we heard the COVID restrictions instituted by the Washington, D.C., mayor are also being dismantled, and we rejoiced!

While these restrictions didn’t last long, they did make life a little more challenging last month during our Supreme Court case concerning the Christian flag. Speaking of this case, which was presented before the Court by our chairman, Mat Staver, we ask for your faithful prayers. We must wait until May or June to hear the outcome of the case—which started way back in 2017—so we need you to stand with us so Christians will have an ongoing presence in America’s public square.

There are many other ways we need you to support the Faith & Liberty team as we interact with America’s leaders and their behind-the-scenes staff right in the heart of our nation’s capital.

Peggy Nienaber, Vice President

PRAYER CONCERNS

Let’s start with a praise! The mayor’s office in Washington, D.C., has just announced that the new COVID-related restrictions recently put into effect will be lifted March 1. This will certainly alleviate some pressure on the Faith & Liberty team, so we are thankful these restrictions didn’t last long.

Pray for Peggy and other Steering Committee members who are planning for the International Religious Freedom Summit 2022. Pray for wisdom and guidance as the committee has some big decisions to make.

We’re looking for victory in our Supreme Court free speech case on behalf of Hal Shurtleff and Camp Constitution concerning the Christian flag. Our chairman, Mat Staver, presented the oral argument against the City of Boston on January 18. Please stand with us in prayer until the Court announces its decision in the case.

Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!

Make a difference and partner with us.
