The culture we live in is ever changing, so our weekly Bible studies focus on different topics and challenges that help congressional staffers engage with others in their sphere of influence. These studies offer a time set aside to pray with them, discuss how to apply the Scriptures today, counsel them in their daily spiritual walk and fortify their faith. More and more staffers and Capitol Hill staff are surrendering their lives to Christ!

MONDAY RECAP

• The team has also begun preparations for upcoming events, including the U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon, Daybreak Prayer and Rooftop Prayer, as well as the International Religious Freedom Summit and the Annual Prayer Retreat.

• Planning has begun for the Washington Studies Intern Week. Interns will visit Capitol Hill and shadow the Faith & Liberty staff in day-to-day ministry.

• The F&L Ministry Center continues weekly Bible studies and meetings, which are bearing spiritual fruit!

COMING SOON

• For the third consecutive year, the Faith & Liberty team will host the U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon, slated for April 30-May 4. We count it a privilege to host and honor God’s Word in this special way.

• International Religious Freedom Summit 2022 preparations are moving full steam ahead. Peggy Nienaber is on the Steering Committee for this important event scheduled for June 28-30 in our nation’s capital. The selections for speakers and side events will allow this summit to bring greater awareness to persecuted Christians around the world.

• The Aglow International group will be visiting the Ministry Center to receive ministry updates and offer prayer for the Faith & Liberty team.

• Our team is also starting to plan Prayer Rallies related to the news of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s upcoming retirement.

PRAYER CONCERNS

Pray for Peggy and other Steering Committee members who are planning for the International Religious Freedom Summit 2022. Pray for wisdom and guidance in all of their preparations.

We expect victory in our Supreme Court free speech case concerning the Christian flag. Our chairman, Mat Staver, presented before the Court against the City of Boston on January 18. We must pray through the process until the Court announces its ruling, likely in May or June, for or against Camp Constitution.

The new COVID-related restrictions in effect in Washington, D.C., have added some challenges to our ministry operations. As we engage in activities and events, pray for the Faith & Liberty team to know how to best work under these restrictions and that they would be lifted soon.
