The Illinois hospital, NorthShore, previously granted exemptions for some employees but then suddenly revoked them in mid-September. Despite a legal demand letter, NorthShore did not budge; nor would NorthShore explain why it granted the exemptions and then revoked them.

Imagine the emotions these employees felt to hear about the mandate, apply for an exemption, finally receive one ... only to have it pulled away again and face termination! This has been an emotional roller coaster for these health care heroes.

Sarah* is one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit who earns health insurance for her family. Her four children rely on her for dental, vision and medical care. One of her sons was in a tragic accident last year, and they are still working to pay back those medical bills. If this mom is fired, the family support is gone.

This employer, like so many we've encountered, has no compassion for its employees. These health care heroes have worked in the trenches for months through the pandemic. They work every day to save lives and care for patients. Now they want to discard them like trash.

WE MUST ALL FIGHT THIS INJUSTICE!

Judy* contracted COVID in 2020 and fully recovered. As a nurse at NorthShore, she knows that taking a COVID shot when one already has natural antibodies can be dangerous.

One person got the injection and shared, “5 mins after the injection, the skin was burning off my lips, tongue and throat. It felt like acid going through my sinuses ... I got every COVID symptom at an aggressive rate. High fever, body aches, no energy at all, couldn't sit up, headaches, it felt like my lungs were concrete, they felt heavy. I went to the emergency room and told them that I was too tired to breathe anymore. I seriously felt like I was minutes from dying ... Next day left side of my face drooped and Dr. said it was Bell's palsy. I had to get three injections in my neck. It wiped out my thyroid and immune system.”

But for Judy, the stakes are even higher. She has failing eyesight. Her husband suffers from unpredictable, life-threatening swelling of the throat and other conditions. Her son struggles with severe depression and suicidal ideation that requires constant psychiatric care and counseling.

And if all that were not enough, Judy's father had a debilitating stroke seven years ago. Judy moved her father into their home so the family could provide the constant care her father needs.

Judy is the sole breadwinner for her family. By the grace of God, her family has had the income and health insurance they need. But NorthShore will terminate Judy IF the court does not stop this mandate.

Judy's deep faith prohibits her from taking any shots tested or developed with aborted fetal cell lines.

When Judy's exemption was revoked, she sought to appeal it. However, her manager said, “It doesn't matter. We are not approving anyone.” For faithful employees like Judy, this has been an emotional roller coaster.

Led by Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, some legislators are desperately trying to undermine this lawsuit by amending the state's Health Care Right of Conscience Act so it would not apply to “vaccines.” The real motivation is to discriminate against people with sincere religious beliefs. We will not be deterred. We have more in our arsenal than this state law.

Each tearful call builds our resolve to fight these evil mandates ruining the lives of millions.

The need is overwhelming. We are doing all we can to help tens of thousands of people fighting unlawful decrees.

We cannot express the gratitude we are hearing from the thousands of people we have already helped. However, the cries for help are rising, and the desperation of so many more people is increasing. These stay with us every day. Help us help these people. Help us give them hope!
