Long-term change in a person’s life can only happen through sharing the old, old story of Jesus and His love. That is why our Ministry Center in Washington, D.C., is regularly open for prayer and Bible study. Last week, one of our Bible studies saw eight Capitol Hill interns choose to put their faith in Christ!
Please keep all eight of them in prayer as their faith needs to take root and grow. Starting this week, these new Christians will continue to be mentored through the remainder of their internship.
Many people who come to Capitol Hill are corrupted by power and greed, yet our strategic ministry stands as a beacon of light and hope. Thank you for your ongoing prayers and financial support that makes our presence in the nation’s Capitol possible. You helped these young people find new life in Jesus!
Blessings in Christ,
The Faith & Liberty Team

THE MONDAY RECAP & MORE
- Peggy Nienaber participated this past week in a Ministry Coalition Meeting with Margaret Kibben, chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives. Along with other ministries working on Capitol Hill, we prayed, provided support and shared about how God is moving in our work. Our purpose in meeting was also to see how we could support one another. Chaplain Kibben closed our meeting by praying with each of us and offering encouragement.

- Every month in front of our Ministry Center, the Faith & Liberty team stands in front of the Ten Commandments and prays for the top appointed and elected officials, their staff and all those in leadership. Elected and government officials and allied ministries join us in prayer and praise, and this past week, Aglow International members came from three states to join us.

- The Ministry Center is a hub for our many Bible studies, prayer groups, family nights, fellowship pizza time, women’s prayer breakfast, men’s waffle breakfast, various luncheons and the White House New Members Bible Study. Congressional and administrative staffers come once a week for a lunchtime Bible study, and church services are held monthly in the Ministry Center garden. Our Ministry Center is also open regularly for fellowship and prayer.
COMING SOON
- The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, otherwise known as “The People’s Tree,” will arrive this Friday, Nov. 19. Peggy Nienaber will be there for arrival and will give us an update on the theme and where the 18,000 ornaments were made. It is time to get back into enjoying the holidays and remembering what the “reason for the season” truly is. Soon our interns, volunteers and staff will be decorating the Ministry Center and enjoying fellowship during this fun festive time.
- On Dec. 1, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear what is likely the most significant pro-life case since the momentous 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. We are involved in strategic meetings and planning events for prayer gatherings and press conferences. To learn how you can participate, please visit our website, faithandlibertydc.org.
- The LIVE Nativity on Dec. 2 will proceed from the Faith & Liberty Ministry Center to the front of the Supreme Court. Together with the animals, actors dressed in costumes from the time period of the Gospels will portray the biblical narrative of the birth of Christ. The program is a public witness to remind everyone of the powerful message delivered on the very first Christmas. Please join us at 11 a.m. EST in person or through Facebook LIVE.

PRAYER
- Pray for the events surrounding the Dobbs oral argument on Dec. 1 at the Supreme Court. This case can have a tremendous impact on LIFE in our nation. We desire the events we’re planning to highlight the importance of the case, the plight of the unborn, the sanctity of human life and to glorify God.
- Pray for the impact of the LIVE Nativity on the hearts and minds of the people who will be witnessing the story of Jesus’ birth. Final preparations are underway for this special event on Dec. 2.
- Continue to pray as we minister to staffers on Capitol Hill. Pray that we will see more interns and staffers follow Christ through our work at the Ministry Center.
Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!
