Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

Oct 18, 2021

December will be here before we know it! We have some special events we need to cover in prayer long before the end of the year.

One of those events celebrates the true meaning of Christmas, our annual LIVE Nativity on Dec. 2. We had to move this event, which will be held in front of the Supreme Court, by just one day—and it’s amazing to think why. The Justices will be hearing a significant abortion case on Dec. 1, the date we were scheduled to welcome the baby Jesus in this beloved Christmas presentation. Just think, if Jesus would have been born today rather than 2,000+ years ago, some might have tried to convince Mary she should abort her baby, the Savior of sinners. Perish the thought!

On the day the Nativity was originally scheduled, Dec. 1, we will instead be participating in a massive prayer gathering during the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization argument at the High Court. Please join us in prayer no matter where you are. Thank you!

Blessings in Christ,

The Faith & Liberty Team

THE MONDAY RECAP & MORE
  • Our Bible studies are growing and are at an all-time high in attendance.
  • The Men’s Weekend Prayer Breakfast was held in the Ministry Center’s back prayer garden with over 30 Capitol Hill staffers participating. This was the largest Men’s Prayer Breakfast to date!
  • Peggy Nienaber participated in the coalition’s conference call to plan for the upcoming Prayer Gathering at the Supreme Court.
  • Peggy also participated in a Zoom meeting with various coalitions to start planning for the International Religious Freedom (IRF) Summit 2022 to be held in Washington D.C.

COMING SOON

  • Prayer gathering Dec. 1 during the U.S. Supreme Court argument on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

  • Live Nativity Dec. 2 in front of the Supreme Court, just across from the U.S. Capitol.

  • The National Prayer Service with representatives from numerous denominations and pro-life groups will be the premier prayer event on the day of March for Life 2022. We will gather in repentance and grief, but also in hope-filled, joyful determination and unity to bring an end to abortion once and for all at the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Constitution Hall, the largest concert hall in our nation’s capital.

Our prophetic missionary work in Washington, D.C., continues during this critical time in history. CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR PRAYER REQUEST.

We must all stay tuned in to what's happening in our nation's capital. To stay informed on issues in Washington (e.g., "Freedom to Vote Act," "Equality Act") and play your part as a citizen and a Christian, look for Faith & Liberty's ACTION emails throughout the week.

PRAYER

Pray that the leaders in our nation’s capital would experience spiritual awakening that would impact America.

Pray for the Supreme Court Justices and the pivotal abortion cases they must decide, including Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization set for Dec. 1! Pray for infant lives to be saved across America, for the women and men facing these life-or-death decisions.

The Holy Spirit is working in the hearts of congressional staffers and drawing many to our weekly Bible studies. Pray that they will continue to hear and respond to the gospel.

Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!

Make a difference and partner with us.
