A military chaplain is sounding the alarm over what he and many other chaplains fear will be a rapid increase in suicide among military service members caused by Joe Biden’s abusive COVID shot mandates. The chaplain’s shocking sworn testimony is part of a major lawsuit filed today against Biden and others.
Military members are facing a crisis of unprecedented proportions. Today, a class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of military members, federal employees and federal civilian contractors against Joe Biden and his Department of Defense (DOD). We assisted in researching for this case that could impact the rights of everyone regarding the COVID shot mandates. — Your Faith & Liberty team
Timothy* is a Navy chaplain who has served God and his country for nearly two decades. Whether deployed in war-torn regions or serving in stateside military installations, he faithfully cares for our military heroes.
Since late August, when Biden’s DOD first announced the shot mandates, service members began to flood Timothy’s pastoral office.
“There have been many tears shed in my office by sailors affected by the COVID shot mandates who have been in distress over their moral dilemma to follow orders or to follow their spiritual convictions and sincerely held religious beliefs,” he wrote.
The chaplain says, “almost every sailor who was faithful in attending chapel has also submitted religious accommodation requests regarding the COVID shot mandate in order to maintain his or her sincere religious beliefs.”
Yet, those religious exemption requests are being summarily and illegally rejected under Biden’s unlawful shot orders.
Since Pfizer, Moderna and J&J are subject to the “Emergency Use Authorization” status, and BioNTech’s Comirnaty is not yet available, NO ONE—including military service members—can be forced to take these shots.
Further, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and the First Amendment protect federal employees and members of the military from being forced to violate their deeply held religious convictions.
Since the shot mandate announcement in August, Chaplain Timothy has spent well over 100 hours counseling service members. These members are “anguished at the thought of a choice between the COVID shot and their deeply held, sincere religious beliefs that receiving the COVID shot would be a grave sin,” wrote Chaplain Timothy in his testimony.
All the COVID shots utilized aborted fetal cell lines as part of their development and/or testing. Service members are being forced to choose between participating in a medical process they find morally reprehensible or being discharged or jailed for refusing.
Timothy describes the abuse military members face for merely requesting a religious exemption. During COVID, the suicide rate rose by 20-25%. Timothy and other chaplains fear the pressure to get the shots or be dishonorably punished will cause that shocking number to go even higher.
That’s why members of the Faith & Liberty team worked hard to provide background research for the class action lawsuit that was filed in federal court TODAY. In addition to members of the military, this lawsuit represents clients on behalf of the 3.7 million civilian contractors and 2 million federal employees.
