Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

Jun 7, 2021

This past week was a true blessing as we opened our Ministry Center to members of the Changed Movement who were in Washington for meetings on Capitol Hill and for Saturday's Freedom March. Spending time with those who are overcoming the temptations of same-sex attraction and seeing their love for the Lord who rescued them from this "alternative lifestyle" was truly powerful. We rejoice with these believers in their transformation and pray for their effectiveness in suppressing the LGBTQ agenda.

We continue to be thankful for you too as you stand with us for freedom in Christ and for our nation!

Blessings in Christ,

Peggy Nienaber, Vice President

THE MONDAY RECAP

  • As mentioned above, we hosted the Changed Movement group for strategic leadership meetings. We were able to pray and share with the group about the work of the Faith & Liberty team at the Ministry Center.
  • We scheduled prayer time with staffers and others who work on Capitol Hill.
  • We are thankful that our Bible studies have become busy with many new faces. The discussion topics that are really drawing interest are abortion, marriage and creation. Questions abound, but we know the Bible is where answers are found.
  • Peggy Nienaber continues to assist with the International Religious Freedom (IRF) Summit slated for July. If you would like more information or want to sign up to attend, please go to irfsummit.com.

COMING THIS WEEK

  • Peggy Nienaber will continue to serve on the IRF Summit Steering Committee. She is scheduling survivors of persecution and prominent leaders to share their testimonies at this summer's event.
  • Faith & Liberty will continue to host the Changed Movement this week as they meet with members of Congress and their staff to discuss the "Equality Act."
  • Our lead missionary, Rev. Greg Cox, will be visiting our supporters to share more of what we are doing in Washington, D.C. Patty Bills is talking to many by phone to ask if they need prayer and thank them for their support. Without their financial and prayer support—and yours—we could not do what we do here from our strategic home base, the Ministry Center, directly across from the U.S. Supreme Court.

Our prophetic missionary work in Washington, D.C., continues during this critical time in history. CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR PRAYER REQUEST.

We must all stay tuned in to what's happening in our nation's capital. To stay informed on issues in Washington (e.g., "For the People Act," "Equality Act") and do your part as a citizen and a Christian, look for the Faith & Liberty emails throughout the week.

PRAYER CONCERNS

We thank the Lord for the numerical growth of our Bible studies as well as for participants who are engaging with the content and being renewed by God's Word in the process.

Join with us in prayer for those who are seeking freedom in their own lives and influencing the direction of our nation regarding LGBTQ issues. Pray that their voice will be heard and heeded by our leaders on Capitol Hill.

Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!

Make a difference and partner with us.
