Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

May 17, 2021

After the flurry of the past couple of weeks, this week may seem quieter, but I can assure you the ministry of the Faith & Liberty team continues with your faithful support behind us.

We are particularly thankful for the interest of Capitol Hill staffers in our Bible studies. Whether it's the topics we cover, the fellowship that comes with the studies or both, the Holy Spirit is most assuredly drawing people to Himself on Capitol Hill.

Blessings in Christ,

THE MONDAY RECAP

  • A series of ongoing Bible studies was held this past week at our Faith & Liberty Ministry Center in Washington. The studies vary from Theological Think Discussions to Family Nights, offering an evening for staffers to bring their families and fellowship with each other. With interest from Congressional and Administrative staffers working in Washington D.C., Faith & Liberty has started another Bible Study during lunch hours for those working on Capitol Hill.

Gospel to the City Bible Study Series

Purity Culture & the Church THINK Discussion

  • The former U.S. ambassador at large for international religious freedom asked Peggy Nienaber to participate on the International Religious Freedom Summit steering committee. Plans are coming together now for July’s summit as speakers confirm their attendance, and participants sign up for the summit, which will bring together a broad coalition of passionate supporters of religious freedom around the world. The summit will connect resources with advocates and highlight the personal testimonies of victims of religious persecution and restrictions on religious freedom. We expect this coalition of religious freedom advocates from a wide variety of countries to expand in a way that is best suited for each circumstance.

PRAYER

Thank the Lord for the growth of our Bible studies. Pray for effective outreach to Capitol Hill staffers and their families.

Pray for those who are persecuted for their faith around the world. Pray that Christians might be able to freely share their personal testimonies and preach the Word. May God give wisdom to the planning committee for the International Religious Freedom Summit.

Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!

Make a difference and partner with us.
