Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

As the U.S. Senate impeachment trial begins today, we want to share with you some of the shocking statements made by those who support impeachment. Now is the time to raise your voice against this unconstitutional trial.
Trump’s impeachment defense lawyers will give the same defense we raised against impeachment. At Faith & Liberty, our concern about this impeachment trial is not partisan or focused on any particular person. Our issue is the constitutionality of the process. If the Constitution can be set aside for this political theater, are any of our rights, including our religious freedom, secure?
Now is the time to flood Congress with your faxes demanding an end to this politically motivated, sham impeachment.
-- Your Faith & Liberty Team
There could not be a more partisan “judge” of this sham trial than Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT). He has spent his entire career as a partisan. Immediately after passing the bar in Vermont he temporarily worked for the governor’s firm and then accepted this same governor’s political appointment in 1966.
For the last 55 years, Leahy has worked as a partisan political operative. And now he takes the gavel to attempt to “impartially” govern the trial over Trump? This makes a mockery of the Senate process.
But it is also more dangerous than that. His position of power gives him the ability to manipulate this process at every turn against Trump. This is why we must stay vigilant and be an active voice by sending faxes against this sham impeachment to the desks of these senators. Your voice is critical. Send an urgent fax to legislators who will cast their vote and demand that they stand against this impeachment trial.
Your team at Faith & Liberty caught the violent group “ShutDown DC” using a fake webpage hosted out of Canada to push the false narrative that Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is planning to vote against Trump. (Even they had to admit it was fake last night.)
This fake news illustrates the depth of the hate for Trump and the lengths they are willing to go to destroy him. It is urgent that we hold the line and fight against the pressure our senators feel to convict Trump!
Now, let’s set the record straight about which side of the congressional aisle should hang its head for inciting violent riots.
The overtly left-leaning Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) went to great lengths to justify Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots. But even they had to admit the massive amount of violence associated with the protests and riots.
To expose how biased this group is, it claimed during the CHAZ/CHOP encampment there was no BLM violence or rioting. “While CHOP was marred by criminal violence” it claimed “the creation of the encampment coincided with a lull in violent demonstrations. Although riots were reported before 8 June (when CHOP was established) and after 1 July (when it was dismantled), only peaceful protests were recorded during the intervening period.”
What!!! CHOP firebombed and took control of an entire police station!
However, using the ACLED’s own warped standard it had to admit that BLM riots have been responsible for damaging, or completely destroying 38 other government properties and monuments.
For nine weeks last summer, BLM riots turned violent in 220 locations. Entire city blocks burned to the ground by almost 550 separate violent riots across America.
But there was no cry of “impeachment” in the U.S. House. No calls for justice in the Senate. There is blood on the hands of those in Congress who called for violence (and even encouraged it after it started). They just hope you won’t notice as they try to point fingers at Trump.
In case you missed it, below are some of the quotes we expect Trump’s legal defense to try to bring out in the “trial” under Sen. Leahy’s control.
After violence, damage, and the death of a former police officer, who do you think said: “This is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware because they’re not gonna stop … And everyone should take note of that. They’re not gonna let up and they should not.”
Then-Democrat-Senator Kamala Harris said that just days after the death of retired police officer David Dorn and the storming of the White House, which left 60 Secret Service members injured and sent 11 of them to the hospital.
Who do you think said: “No peace, No sleep... If you see anybody [the crowd disagrees with] in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them and you tell them that they are not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
That was Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters, who scrambled this weekend to distance herself from crowds that turned violent after her speech.
Who stood before the Supreme Court and said "I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind. And you will pay the price! You won't know what hit you."
That was now-Senate Democrat Majority Leader Chuck Schumer after 165 rioters were arrested for breaking through a police barrier, rushing up the steps, and beating on the doors which echoed through the Supreme Court during Justice Kavanaugh’s swearing in.
