Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

Feb 15, 2021

The Faith & Liberty team is actively planning upcoming ministry events, including Prayers4America and the U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon.

Plans have also started for the International Religious Freedom Summit to be held in Washington, DC in July. Faith & Liberty has been selected to oversee volunteers for the event that will bring together 60 countries and non-governmental organizations along with State Department officials. Former Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback along with the international religious freedom committee will be hosting the event this year. The focus of the event is to bring awareness to the issues of international religious freedom to the forefront.

Stay tuned for more details about each of these unique events!

Blessings,
Peggy Nienaber, Vice President

THE F&L MONDAY RECAP
  • The Faith & Liberty staff continues to meet and pray with members of Congress and staffers.

  • Faith & Liberty recently held a women’s prayer breakfast at the ministry center.

  • We have been involved in planning meetings for the upcoming U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon as well as the upcoming Prayers4America event in March.

  • We have worked vigorously to resist "forced" vaccinations that may violate fundamental religious beliefs. Our concern remains the undermining of the Constitution and using "health" as justification for trampling constitutional guarantees.

  • Those same constitutional concerns drove our efforts to resist the impeachment of former President Donald Trump. For your team at Faith & Liberty, the issue was the willingness by too many to throw the Constitution under the bus to satisfy a political vendetta. If Congress is willing to set the Constitution aside to satisfy their hatred of Trump, then our religious freedom could also be set aside by those same leaders. For 30 years, we have defended religious freedom on Capitol Hill and will not be silenced in our mission to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers.

UPCOMING THIS WEEK

  • Faith & liberty is hosting small groups this week.
  • Saturday, we are having a men's prayer & waffle breakfast.
  • Zoom meeting with the new House Chaplain, Chaplain Margaret Kibben
  • Senate & House is in recess this week.

Our prophetic missionary work in Washington, DC continues during this critical time in history. CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR PRAYER REQUEST.

PRAYER

Please be in prayer for the planning of the International Religious Freedom Summit and for its impact to raise awareness to the need for the freedom to worship. Pray also for the upcoming Prayers4America event in March and the upcoming U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon.

We also ask that you continue to pray for our meetings with members of Congress. Pray that God would give us wisdom and the words to say to minister to our nation's leaders.

All of our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Again, thank you!

God bless you!
