Remembering the Preborn Memorial & Prayer Vigil 2021

January 22, 2021 marked 48 years since Roe v. Wade (1973) and Doe v. Bolton (1973), the infamous Supreme Court decisions that opened the door to killing unborn babies up to birth. With all the restrictions on Capitol Hill, Faith & Liberty’s team was still able to hold a memorial near the Supreme Court to remember the 62 million preborn lives that have been taken by abortion since 1973.

Congressman Russ Fulcher (1-ID) stood with us as we prayed and laid flowers near the Court to remember those preborn babies. “It was the grace of God who gave us life, and it will be the grace of God to change the hearts that are necessary to change,” said Congressman Fulcher.

It was a moving ceremony where special guest speakers joined us virtually for a time of reflection and prayer.

In addition, even with all the closures and road restrictions the Women’s Prayer Breakfast was held last week at the Ministry Center. We read scripture and studied 2 Timothy, emphasizing our mission as Christians to faithfully transmit the gospel from this generation to the next. Paul reminds Timothy that those who keep their eyes focused on God will be rewarded at the end.

May we all take Paul’s advice and fix our eyes on the Lord!

Blessings,

Peggy Nienaber, Vice President

Women's Prayer Breakfast

THE F&L MONDAY RECAP

  • Peggy Nienaber continues to meet with new members of Congress to pray with them and to understand their goals during the 117th Session.  They discussed what committees the members are interested in and what their backgrounds are that would make them a good fit for these committees. Last week, Peggy met with Congressman Byron Donalds (FL-19), and Congresswomen Diana Harshbarger (TN-1), Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-2), Nancy Mace (SC-1), and Maria Salazar (FL-27).
  • Your Faith & Liberty team participated in several zoom prayer calls. We prayed for Congress and the policies and strategies that the new Administration will be introducing in the next few months and throughout this year.  We prayed for peace, unity and wisdom in navigating the coming days, and prayed that we would continue to focus on God. We choose faith over fear!

PRAYER

Please continue to pray for the success of the pro-life movement in America. Pray for strength and wisdom for the upcoming meet and greets with new members of Congress and the opportunity to shine Christ's light to them.

All of our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Again, thank you!

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
