Last week, Faith & Liberty's missionary team was actively engaged on Capitol Hill, participating in committee meetings as well as praying and encouraging numerous senators to support important pro-life legislation.

Let us take a moment to describe these two very different and very critical bills...

First is the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Sponsored by Senator Lindsey Graham, (R-SC) the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act makes it illegal to abort an unborn child after the time at which the child can feel pain, which science currently pegs at 20 weeks. Exceptions are made for rape, incest and present physical danger to the mother.

Second is the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Sponsored by Sen. Ben Sasse, (R-NE) the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act requires all medical professionals to provide life-saving measures to any baby that manages to survive an abortion. In addition to requiring those life-saving measures, the bill also makes it a felony for an abortionist to actively kill a baby that survives an abortion.

BOTH of these bills need to pass in order to save babies!
