Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

A Dark Moment in America!

Dec 18, 2019

Yesterday, the US House of Representatives voted on Articles of Impeachment against Donald J. Trump, 45th president of the United States. This is the first time in American history a president was impeached on a strictly partisan vote. It is a dark moment in the life of our nation and demands that people of faith fall to our knees and intercede on behalf of our country.

At Faith & Liberty, we were on-site, standing in the gap in prayer and intercession. But we can’t stand alone. We need you to join with us through your prayers and your generous support.

Pray for President Trump and his family. He is only the third president to be impeached, but the first to be impeached on a purely partisan, political basis without a specific crime named in the articles. We pray God will give him strength to continue the course. He is the most pro-life, pro-Israel, and pro-religious liberty president in recent history.

Pray for the members of the House of Representatives. From all we can gather from sources close to this entire process, this action by the House is politically driven and sets a dangerous precedent for future presidents when the House of Representatives is controlled by the opposing party. Pray that those who are acting out of political motives or from personal vindictiveness will be exposed.

Pray for the Senate. The senate is where the actual trial of President Trump will occur. We pray that truth will be revealed, and that justice will prevail during the trial.

Pray for Chief Justice John Roberts. Chief Roberts will oversee the trial in the senate. At the same time, he must continue his duties within the court in considering the momentous cases that are before the court during this session. We pray that God will grant Chief Roberts wisdom and courage during this difficult season.

Pray for our nation. We are a nation increasingly divided. Jesus said a house divided against itself cannot stand. While we know there will always be political differences, we pray that the forces at work in our nation attempting to advance disunity and force upon our country the most radical anti-Christian, pro-LGBTQ agenda in our history, will be totally defeated!

Every day during the impeachment process we will be on the Hill praying and interceding before the throne of Heaven on behalf of America! Please join us in that prayer.

And please take a moment now to make the most generous gift you can to Faith & Liberty. Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers – even during such a divisive time as impeachment – are only possible because of the prayerful and faithful support of friends like you.

Thank you for standing with us! We’ll keep you informed.
