"And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart." (Luke 18:1)

There is much to lose heart about in our nation today. The headlines are filled with senseless violence and despair. That is particularly true on Capitol Hill where divisiveness, hatred, and hopelessness seem to abound.

People don’t know where to turn for the answer to all the problems that we face as a society. But as believers in the One true God, the Savior of our Souls, and the King of Kings, we do not despair.

Why? Because we know the One who can solve the problems that vex our nation as well as our own personal lives.

Although vitally important, public policy will never ultimately provide the solutions to the challenges we face in America today. Our answer will only come when we humbly seek the face of the Lord.

When Jesus, our Immanuel, God-With-Us, tells us to do something, it’s important we both listen and obey. This is the case with prayer. Jesus instructs us, through the parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:2-5), that if we want to see an answer, we must keep at prayer and not abandon it out of exasperation or impatience.

That’s why this August we will be on a prayer retreat praying for our elected officials, our nation, our churches, and for you, our friend and supporter! At the retreat, we dedicate our entire time to a season of intense prayer and fasting.

You see, we believe that what can't be accomplished in any other way can be accomplished through faithful, determined, and fervent prayer.

With that in mind, is there a burden you are facing today we could pray with you about? We want to lift you up personally by name to our glorious and great God who cares immeasurably for His children. No burden is too small or too great for our Lord. Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27)

Take a moment now to personally write us your prayer request(s). We promise you we will lift your name to the One seated upon the Throne as we cry out to Heaven on your behalf!

Now is not the time to despair or give up. Nothing is too hard for the One who created us and our world. He knows us intimately and wants to work in our personal lives and in our country. PRAY continually and do not lose heart friend . . . the Lord is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask.
