Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

Prayer, Trump, & Church...

Jun 3, 2019

On Sunday, your missionaries at Faith & Liberty joined with Rev. Franklin Graham and other Christian leaders and ministries across America in a special day of prayer for President Donald J. Trump.

Our prayer efforts are not partisan or political, rather, they are a response to the biblical mandate recorded in 1 Timothy 2:2 to pray for those in authority "that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

What a blessing it was to then see the President in church Sunday morning to receive prayers from the pastor and members of a local congregation.

While he went to church to pray for the people of Virginia Beach in the face of the terrible tragedy that occurred there, he was himself the focus of a concerted prayer effort, not only in that local congregation, but from believers throughout America. We agree with the prayers of the pastor, not only on behalf of the President and his administration, but for our entire nation.

While radical forces mount a vigorous attack against biblical morality, as evidenced by the enshrinement of abortion-on-demand in leftist states like New York, and the US House of Representatives passing the so-called "Equality Act" (which is nothing more than the LGBTQ agenda on steroids), it is abundantly evident the people of God need to cry out and ask God to intervene!

And now, we need to continue to pray for all of those in government, at every level. That's our commitment at Faith & Liberty. We invite you to join with us in those efforts.

And, please don't forget to pray for Faith & Liberty as your missionaries to our nation's public policy makers. At this challenging moment in American history, we've never seen such partisan hostility on the Hill or sensed as much spiritual darkness. At the same time, we have never seen as many doors of opportunity for ministry as are opening to us right now - including a very special outreach to our federal judges, that is taking place this week. Praise God!

And would you also take just a moment to make a special investment in this prophetic outreach to our national leaders? Your generous gifts enable us to continue to serve as your missionaries to the nation's capital. Again, thank you!

Blessings,

Peggy Nienaber, Vice-President
Mat Staver, Chairman
