Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

Because of Your Prayers and Investment

May 8, 2019

Because of your prayers and faithful investments in this ministry, Faith & Liberty remains a powerful and unique missionary outreach to our nation's public policy makers.

Here is a brief glimpse at what your support is doing on Capitol Hill:

  • In just the last week, Chairman Mat Staver, Esq., Vice-President of Faith & Liberty Peggy Nienaber, and Lead Missionary Rev. Greg Cox all participated in the US Capitol Bible Reading Marathon. The Bible Reading Marathon brings people from across the nation, including members of Congress, to read the Bible aloud from the West Plaza of the Capitol Building, 24 hours a day, for 90 straight hours.
  • In addition to the Bible Reading Marathon, Faith & Liberty led the Daybreak Prayer meeting at the US Supreme Court. This prayer gathering is an event unique to Faith & Liberty. It is the ONLY time collective prayer is allowed on the Plaza of the US Supreme Court.

  • We also participated in the Rooftop Prayer with other Christian leaders. Together, we prayed our nation as well as the city of Washington, DC, as we gathered on the roof of an historic location in the Federal District. It was a remarkable moment of spiritual intercession.
  • Rev. Greg Cox, our Lead Missionary, attended the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus reception in the Rayburn congressional office building. There we had the opportunity to both thank members of congress for their support of Israel as well as challenge them to remain courageous in the face of a growing hostility toward Israel in Congress.
  • In addition to all of this, Peggy Nienaber and Greg Cox joined with other concerned Christian leaders in a special meeting at the White House. It was a powerful moment of clarity as we recognized our dependence upon the grace and favor of the Lord.
  • We also met this last week with congressional leaders to share with them the dangers of the so-called "Equality Act" to any church or Christian organization that believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God. This treacherous legislation poses the greatest threat to the church that many of us have seen in our lifetimes.

And this is just a small part of our outreach.
As a missionary program, God has given us amazing access to many of our nation's top leaders and policy makers. We are grateful for His favor and grace evident in this ministry.

We are totally dependent upon the generosity of our friends and supporters for our daily provision. While we work hard to be faithful stewards of the resources made available to use and strive daily to minimize all our costs, the fact is, working on Capitol Hill is very expensive.

The challenge we face right now is simply that the doors of opportunity for ministry are opening to us at unprecedented levels, but our resources are not keeping pace. In fact, April was a difficult month for us.

But God is our Provider and we know He will move on the hearts of our friends and supporters, patriotic Americans like you, to stand with us. In fact, would you take a moment right now to prayerfully consider making the most generous investment in the missionary outreach of Faith & Liberty you can?

Your gift, whether 25, 35, 50, or even 100 or more is greatly appreciated. Please click here to make your investment in impacting the hearts and minds of public policy makers in America.

Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your giving! And thank you for being a faithful friend of Faith & Liberty.

May all of God's very best be yours,

Peggy Nienaber, Vice-President
Mat Staver, Chairman
Rev. Greg Cox, Lead Missionary
