Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Live Nativity Was Amazing!

Dec 14, 2018

Early Wednesday morning, December 12, our crew gathered at our Ministry Center, right across the street from the Supreme Court

The Live Nativity began when Jonathan Alexandre appeared on the balcony to sing a powerful rendition of O Come All Ye Faithful. We read from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. The Holy Family (with their beautiful son as baby Jesus), shepherds, Wise Men, townspeople, sheep, donkeys, and camel, began making our way on the sidewalks to the front of the Supreme Court.

It was a beautiful day, as cabscars, and visitors from across the country and around the world stopped  in amazement (it isn’t every day you see a live camel on the Hill) and took photos and videos. Office windows along the route were filled with smiling faces. Media gathered to take pictures and write their stories.

As we stopped in front of the Supreme Court, we prayed, read the Gospel of Luke account, and Jonathan, Director of Public Policy, delivered a powerful rendition of O Holy Night. The father of the young child symbolizing Jesus began to weep. The emotions were high.

By the way, this same father was led to surrender his life to Jesus a few years ago as a result of the Live Nativity. To be back with his own child and now a follower of Jesus was overwhelming.

Numerous members of the press gathered as Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, explained the reasons why we do the Live Nativity.

This unique presentation of the birth of Christ reminds all on Capitol Hill that Christmas is really CHRISTmas, a celebration of the coming of Jesus Christ into the world to save us from our sin and bondage. The Live Nativity is also a clear testimony to our First Amendment rights as people of faith. If we can present this incredible living witness of Jesus in front of the Supreme Court, people across America can do the very same thing in their local communities.

It was a moving and successful experience; and bore witness to the miracle of Immanuel – God with us!

Thank you for your prayers and your generous support. Your petitions to heaven helped us overcome the forces arrayed against us – and your giving made this entire program possible.

If you've not yet made an investment in the Faith & Liberty and the Live Nativity 2018, you still can do so by clicking here.

There are bills to pay and your gifts will help us make certain all our expenses are covered.

May the miracle of the Incarnation fill your heart this Christmas season.

Yours for the Gospel,
