Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Dec 4, 2024
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Faith & Liberty’s 21st annual Live Nativity will happen tomorrow, December 5, where Mary, Joseph, the Baby Jesus, Wise Men, townspeople, and shepherds in first-century attire, along with camels, donkeys and sheep, will pass by the Library of Congress buildings and near the U.S. Capitol on their way to the front of the U.S. Supreme Court. The Live Nativity is scheduled to arrive in front of the U.S. Supreme Court building by 11 a.m. ET.
At that time there will be a theatrical reading of the story of Christ’s birth with live musical accompaniment, as well as photo opportunities for the public.
This event will also be broadcast live on Faith and Liberty’s Facebook page.
Faith & Liberty, America’s premier Christian missionary and spiritual outreach in the nation’s capital, will present this annual ceremonial event in celebration of Jesus’ birth.
Faith & Liberty Senior Vice President Peggy Nienaber said, “As a new presidential administration and new members of Congress prepare to take office, the annual Live Nativity is a great way to keep the focus on Jesus Christ. To have this event on Capitol Hill, which is the heart of American liberty and governance, allows us to freely express the Gospel message with great visibility where we can point the nation to Christ.”
Faith & Liberty is an evangelistic ministry, taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nation’s top elected and appointed officials. Faith & Liberty accomplishes its mission through building personal relationships with individuals serving in government, distributing Scripture and informative materials, and staging special events such as panel discussions, Bible studies, news conferences, seminars, and prayer, worship, and church services.
